Udupi: Former MLA Pramod Madhwaraj pays visit to KPCC chief Shivakumar in Bengaluru

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (JD)

Udupi, Dec 2: Former Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj on Wednesday, December 2 met with KPCC president D K Shivakumar at KPCC office in Queens Road, Bengaluru.

The KPCC chief had recently visited Udupi and the absence of Pramod Madhwaraj in the party conference was chiefly highlighted.

As per sources, the party leaders discussed the reconstruction of the party and preparations to be undertaken for the upcoming gram panchayat elections. Other leaders of the district Congress will also be called to discuss matters of relevance soon. A Udupi block Congress meeting was also called by Pramod Madhwaraj which possibly can be an indication of his return to the party.

Speaking exclusively with Daijiworld, Pramod Madhwaraj said, "I had been to Bengaluru for personal work and Shivakumar had called me and asked me to meet him. We both have shared a good camaraderie for a decade so my visit to the KPCC office was a casual visit."

Regarding the plea submitted by party workers to the KPCC chief, Madhwaraj said, "I have no idea what the workers have told Shivakumar. In general, many issues related to international, national, state, district and local matters were discussed. Recently, I had also called a meeting to discuss strategies for the upcoming gram panchayat elections in the Udupi constituency."

The party workers were reportedly quite curious regarding the outcome of the meeting that was held between the KPCC chief and the former Udupi MLA.

Pramod known to be non controversial gentleman got in to bad books of majority community by his unnecessary statements on Lord Ram linking to eating meat etc. Probably Pramod wanted to please the then CM Siddu by such anti--- statements but it did cost him a lot in the elections. Congress people say that they are seculars but speak more on religion than other important things like developments and get in to problems. When congress stops all these appeasing attempts of few people, the good old party will be accepted by the common man.

    People,

Only two persons have capacity to contest and win as independent candidates in Udupi District....one is Halady and Second is Pramod....

Also Pramod is perhaps only person in CONgress who is not financially corrupt...he thought this virtue will engineer his win by default....but it takes more than that to win an election in Udupi he painfully realized in 2018 !!!....

Only negative points I heard about him is ,,, he does not mix with people easily....and does not exabit all his teeth like Saddu Gowda....and CONgress is very weak in grass root levels in Udupi.....

Next time both classmates Raghupati and Pramod will have neck to neck race in my opinion...

Last but not least....In last Parliament elections CONgress should not have given Udupi seat to JDS and Pramod should not have contested as JDS candidate....

Many things we realize after they occur and like a word ...once it gets out of our mouth ...we don't have control over it...we cannot undo it....

I wish Pramod all the best in his next elections...hope CONgressmen will not pull his legs....which they normally do...

    ...Voith...Katt....
