Mangaluru: 'Hunger strike on Dec 4 postponed as govt calls for talks' – Former MLC Ivan D’Souza

Mangaluru, Dec 3: The hunger strike which was scheduled on December 4, led by former MLC Ivan D'Souza near Townhall Ambedkar statue has been postponed. The hunger strike was scheduled demanding to reinstate Christian Development Corporation and also appoint a president and vice president for the same.

Addressing the media here on Thursday December 3, Ivan D Souza said, "State government has invited me and other Christian leaders for a discussion and there is a possibility of forming Christian Development Corporation and fulfilling our demands. So we have decided to postpone the hunger strike which is scheduled on December 4.

“The date for meeting is yet to be finalized. Depending on the outcome of the meeting, we will finalize the hunger strike protest,” he said.
