Kasargod, May 21: Following an incident of painting compound walls of three temples green by few miscreants, the agitated Sangh Parivar outfits staged a protest and harthal in the town on Friday May 21. The incident has turned the situation in the town tensed.

On Friday morning it was found that the compound wall of three temples, Mallikharjuna Temple, Kotekani Ramanath Temple and Kotekani Annapoorneshwari Temple were painted green on Thursday night allegedly by miscreants out to disturb communal harmony. Following this, agitated Sangh Parivar outfits called for a harthal demanding the arrest of the culprits.

The harthal was a success with no vehicles, both private and government suspending its operations. The town wore a deserted look with people choosing to stay indoors and only dotted with policemen as the department had provided tight security to control the situation.

Even if at all we knew the language that God speaks and the colour our gods like things would not be much better. We need genuine enlightenment so that we see things differently even when walls of our temples, churches and mosques are painted with different colours. The only remedy is education and employment.

This is a total failure attempt of some miscreants who may be from Muthalik to divert the attention. Intelligent people of South India dont give a damn. Teach them a lesson. I think Muslim associations and Hindu associations come together and paint the wall again with the original paint. Give them a reply.

Dear Mangaloreans please beware!!! This is one more conspiracy from the anti social elements to divert the attention of the people and the government from the "Sene" case so that they can insight communal violence and delay the investigations against them.
