PM Observes One-minute Silence for Air Crash Victims


New Delhi, May 24 (IANS): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday started his first press conference in his second term by observing a one-minute silence to mourn the 158 victims of the Mangalore air crash.

The prime minister arrived at Vigyan Bhavan a few minutes after the scheduled time of 10.30 a.m.

The hall, packed with journalists, stood up in silence with the prime minister to pay tribute to the 158 people who died at the Air India Express aircraft crash Saturday morning.
