Mangaluru, Dec 8: Hindu Jagarana Vedike activists, Durgalayi unit, Mudungarukatte conducted a lightning raid at Balepuni on the morning of Tuesday, December 8 and rescued seven cows. The accused had stolen the cows and brought them in an unidentified vehicle to Ramanna Gudde last night.

HJV Durgalayi unit joint secretary Harish Arantady who received information about the matter promptly notified HJV member Divyaraj Shetty. They raided the spot along with the other HJV members and rescued three pregnant cows and four calves.

The cattle were then handed over to Punyakoti byre.

    My Dear Hindu/Christian & Muslim friends, I beg you please done be so negative with your comments. We, the people of Avibhajitha DK, have a long tradition of living together in community harmony. Are we so weak now that some opportunist politicians and their dirty agenda is dividing our century old relationship? Why so much negativity? I studies in Gangolli, Katapadi, Udupi and Mangalore sitting in the same classroom with friends with surnames like Kharvi, Pinto, Baliga, Abbas, Shabbir, Sherigar, Shetty, Padiyar and D'Costa. They are not fake names, they are all real names of my class mates. Not one day I felt that divide between us in my school years. We celebrated Christmas, Deepavali, Balindra together, shared our lunch box in school grounds, stole cucumber and mangoes from nearby farms, went to Masjid wearing a skull cap and even met the priest on Christmas eve prayers. How did this community harmony disappear? Why are we fighting amongst ourselves? Shame on those who are trying to divide us. Unity is strength. I always thought as literacy rate increases, the DK will be the place to live in India; but that not seems to be the case. Sad, very sad.

    If BD Vadike all are true concerned about cows, grow grass and feed the cows and give bath regularly , do massage and make the cow shelter like cow palace , its a training so that gradually you can pick beggars and poor people from streets, provide shelter feed the hungry and receive blessing from God.
    That s called Father Mother children love

    No doubt, the cows should not be allowed to be stolen and the thieves should get the punishment.
    The main problem today is the rapes that are going on in our country. In our country, there are only 840 women per 1000 men. Save the girls should be our priority. A man wants a woman to sit behind his bike or live with, and not the cow. By any good quality, a woman is not less than a cow, or when in trouble, not less than a tiger !

    Excellent work by Hindu Jagarana Vedike. Hopefully the members of Hindu Jagarana Vedike will keep these cows in their own home and bedrooms, so this does not occur again.

    That is the only way to stop this madness, whoever saves the cows must keep it inside their own bedroom for the rest of the cows life.

    Udupi and Dakshina Kannada district's D .C.'s should permit more cattle slaughter houses, at least one each in the Taluk's. So as to stop cattle thefts and to cope with meat shortage in the market in both the districts.

    Police department dont get information.
    Better send VHP, BD ,HJV all these to India boader or to USA to join CA .

    A girl was raped in a moving car by 3 friends. Wish HJV wud have conducted a lightning raid then. Forget about raid, they did not even utter a word. If only the girl had truly loved a man from opposite community, then these HJV members wud have woken up from their slumber
