Mangaluru, Dec 9: A thief broke into the house of an elderly woman and made away with a two-sovereign gold chain. The incident took place at 9.30 am on Wednesday, December 9.
The victim of the incident has been identified as Joyce Harris, a senior citizen who lives alone in her residence at Shanti Nivas, Balmatta in the city.
As per reports, the accused used a stone to gain entry through the backdoor of the house.
Senior officials arrived at the spot and investigations are underway.
