Karnataka agriculture minister B C Patil to go on state tour to allay farmers' fears

Bengaluru, Dec 9 (IANS): Karnataka Agriculture Minister B.C. Patil said on Wednesday that he would soon go on a state-wide tour to allay the fears of the farmers about the misinformation being spread by the opposition parties with regard to the three farm laws enacted by the Centre in September.

Speaking to reporters here, Patil said that opposition parties are spreading false information about the laws that are truly beneficial to the farmers. "A section of farmers' leaders are swayed by the opposition's ill-designed campaign against the laws," he said.

Patil added that he had already completed a round of state tour and had also launched a programme to stay in a village to be with the farmers last month.

"I will certainly do what it takes to allay their fears. The laws which the Congress is opposing was assured by the same party in its manifesto for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Even former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had written a letter to the Union government, which we tabled in the Assembly just to expose the dual face of the Congress," he said.

Minister's great move. Wish you a great tour. To know about farmers.. it's not a rocket science. But you require a tour.... No problem at all. You can utilise fully your DA,TA ...etc. May be your family also require a outing. Please take them along with you. All the best. Your initiative must be followed by other ministers too.

    1. Let the Farmers talk directly to Ambani and Adani with the involvement of Middlemen (read as BJP-RSS)
    2. BJP Karnataka - This is your last term, no amount of Hindutva agenda will save you..... keep buying and selling MLA's in the meanwhile.

The BJP Govt has made a mockery of Parlimentary Democracy by passing these Farm Bills without a discussion in the house or taken any of the stake holders into confidence.

They finally passed it in the Rajya Sabha in a most deceitful manner through a voice vote just to please their Crony Capitalist friends the Ambani's and Adani's at the expense of the poor Farmers. This Suit Boot Ki Sarkar should be shown the EXIT.

We need to ponder that if Indira Gandhi could Nationalize so many private banks, then a National Govt in future should Nationalize all Ambani and Adani group of Companies that have so brazenly taken over so many public sector units and enterprises so that peoples enterprises can be restored.
