Fr Alwyn D' Souza, CBCI National Youth Director, Kasaragod/New Delhi Thank you for your good comments ans appriciation to all fathers. Also we would like to know what improvement has done/ or gained by the youth of our diocese. we know many youth boys and girls spoiled their life in mangalore because of misuse of internet and mobile ( face book and orkut) and pre marietal relationship. Internet must be use for proclamation of the Bible. One of my fr. opinioned it is more than in bombay, bangalore. RELIGIOUS teaching and confession is more important know father ?. Secondly we would like listen from our Most Rev. Bishop atleast before or during the concluding ceremony ( june 19).of Year for The Priests. we need liturgical changes like some latin hymns and skits during children mass ( some time) prayers and liturgy / Gospel in hymns. Many fathers have good voice.. better not to sing long hymns which are presenty we sung. like after reading epistals , communion, thanks giving hymns. i hope using hymnal type of liturgy is good. what about concluding programme YEAR FOR THE PRIEST? so far not published? in diocese website.
    thank you fathers

Correctly said dear Mr.Jerome George Coelho,I fully agree with you that most of the priests from Mangalore diocese just forgotten their true mission as the parish priests in today's world. And there are people just follow them like fools.

Best wishes to all dear priests.
Congratulations Fr. Charles. You deserve the new assignment.

I have great love and respect for Rev.Fr. Victor Machado rector of St. Joseph's seminary. He is really one of the greatest preists that I have come across in my life. I feel Fr. Victor Machado deserves to be one of the top leaders in the Roman Catholic Church today, either in India or Abroad{ I mean Rome} as he is a great priest. I humbly recall his brother Late Fr. Henry Machado who was also a great priest.
Thank You Fr. Victor Machado for being a inspiring priest. May JESUS be with you.

    DEAR BISHOP ALOYSIUS D'SOUZA,
I WILL SPECIALLY PRAY THAT GOD WILL GRANT YOU WISDOM TO MAKE READY THE NEXT LIST IN WHICH ALL THE EXISTING PARISH PRIESTS OF ALL CHURCHES OF MANGALORE WHO ARE BUSY WITH THE MAIN ISSUE OF PROPERTY AND INCOME MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO THE INTERIOR PARISHES WHERE THERE ARE SOME PLACES WHERE THE PRIEST HIMSELF COOKS HIS FOOD.I KNOW THAT THIS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED BUT I AM VERY SAD TO REMEMBER THE WORDS WHICH THE MIGHTY LORD SAID''DO NOT BE FOLLOWERS BUT BE LEADERS AND LEAD THE FOLLOWERS''.IN THIS PRESENT WORLD SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING AND THE OTHER IS FOLLOWING HIM WITHOUT KEEPING IN MIND WHERE HE IS GOING.

    Sat, May 29 2010

Congratulations and best wishes to one and all! In a very special way I would like to congratulate & welcome Fr. Charles Menezes, to the CBCI National Youth Ministry, as the National Chaplain for YCS/YSM. My sincere thanks to our Bishop. After Fr. Vincent Monteiro (Present Director of the Pastoral Center, M'Lore), Fr Charles is the second priest from M'lore Diocese, to be appointed as the National Chaplain of YCS/YSM. You have done a yeomen service to the YCS/YSM of Mangalore. I am sure under your able leadership our Teenagers of India, will rise to new horizons in our 'Shining and Suffering India'. 2010 is a significant year to the youth ministry - 25th year of the Vatican & UN 'International Year of Youth' (1985-2010), Silver Jubilee of the CBCI Commission for Youth (1986-2010) & this year once again UN has d the International Year of Youth, from 12th August 2010 to 11th August 2011. You have plenty of Challenges to face. As per the Govt. population Projections by the year 2020 the average age of Indian will be 27 years, whereas in the West the average age will be above 60years... India is Young.Indian Church is Young & Youthful. Indeed its icing on the cake, that the CBCI in its plenary Assembly (February 2010 at Guwahati) has given a clarion call to the Indian Church to Nurture & Promote Youth for the Church & Society. My prayerful good wishes are always with you and welcome to the CBCI National Youth Ministry.Fr. Alwyn
