Five killed as NATO Tankers Torched in Pakistan


Islamabad, June 9 (IANS) At least five people were killed and four injured Wednesday when a group of miscreants torched 30 NATO tankers near Islamabad, police sources said.

The incident took place at Sang Jani, in the outskirt of Islamabad, where the armed assailants riding on six motorcycles and two cars targeted the tankers carrying oil and other essentials to Afghanistan.

Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik ordered a magisterial probe into the incident, Geo News reported.

So far no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
