Mangaluru: Murder attempt on policeman near New Chitra - Three more arrested

Mangaluru, Jan 29: Relating to murderous assault on an on-duty policemen attached to the city (north) police station here on December 12, 2020 near the New Chitra Junction here, police have arrested three more accused.

The arrested accused have been identified as Ibrahim Shakir (19) from Bolar, Akbar (30) from Sajipanadu, Bantwal, and Mohammad Haneef alias Karchi Haneef (32) from Kudroli. They were arrested on the afternoon of January 25, the police said.

The arrests were executed by Savitra Teja PD and staff under the guidance of assistant police commissioner of the city central sub-division Jagadish, and directions of deputy police commissioners Hariram Shankar and Vinay Gaonkar. The police team drew support in the task from police inspector of city (north) station Govindaraju, CCB police inspector Mahesh Prasad, and other staff.

    If the police have evidence they must encounter some of these criminals without any discrimination of caste or religion. 1 or 2 incidents as such will bring shivers into these miscreants.

    The opposition will cry foul and say 'minorities are in danger in India'. Mugda Alapsankaytharu are targetted etc.

    Ruthvik. Agree with your comments, Guys lets be honest to ourselves. The opposition is more worried its vote bank. If you seen they pretend to be protectors of Tulunad only on selective issues like
    1. Airport renaming
    2. Lady hill circle renaming
    but deafening silence on.
    1. Graffiti case
    2. Assault on Police
    3. Dropping of condoms in Temple hundi
    4. Defacating on temple flag.
    In these cases, as per them Tulunadu is not in danger. Its very obvious on which side they are tilted to.
