Mangaluru heading for 'hottest' tag with highest temperature

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Feb 1: Some of the north Karnataka districts are called 'Bisila Nadu' (land of the blazing sun). The city too appears to be moving towards getting such a tag, going by the recent records.

During the period starting in November 2020 till now, the city has recorded the highest temperature in the country on several days. The highest temperature recorded during the last summer last was 38 degree Celsius. In November, the city reached 37 degree Celsius. In March, the temperature might go above 38 degrees, it seems.

The coastal Karnataka has been witnessing a trend of gradual increase in the temperature since the last several years.

The coastline gets wind from the seaside during the day while at night, wind moves towards the sea. As such, the temperature is set to rise during the day as the humidity in the air goes down due to the hot air. Karwar too has registered the highest temperature in the country a couple of times this year.

With the increase in temperature, there is a high demand for tender coconut, sugarcane juice, cold drinks, ice creams etc. Dehydration is a major problem encountered during the summer. People should not overlook that. It is better to have water that is boiled and cooled. With the change in climate, children may suffer from fever, dysentery, vomiting etc, for which doctor will have to be consulted.

The days on which the city clocked the highest temperature were January 25 (35.8), January 15 (34.7), November 30 - (37), November 12 (35.9).

Most concerning is even during winter season such high temperature spikes, like as in summer, is very disturbing, in fact, there is no winter season felt anymore in coastal Karnataka; all throughout the year the climate is hot & sultry which makes one very uncomfortable & jittery!

BTW, in some pockets there is a much more rise in temperature than stated! Also during summers the use of ACs adds to the heat in the surroundings!
Rampant deforestation & concretization has worsened the natural warming phenomena!

    Prophecies on Extreme weather...

God's Chastisements in the Book of Truth, recent prophecies which is available online, on countries, which pass wicked laws against God (specially abortion and same sex marriages)
    ...
"Weather extremes and sudden changes in temperatures from cold to very hot will be seen. The seasons will no longer be seen in the way in which they were in the past.

Floods and sea storms will be seen in parts of the world, which have never experienced them up to now. In the countries, which pass wicked laws against God, earthquakes will rattle their lands and for those who know Me, they will know why they are taking place.

When the chastisements take place, there will come a second terrible punishment, which will be inflicted on false churches, who deliberately block the Truth. For they will suffer the most, because of the souls they have stolen from Me.

As I reveal more about the prophecies, which are contained in the Seals, man will eventually recognise the Truth. And while God is Love and while He is Just, His punishments will rain down upon humanity to rid it of its vanity, ego and self-love, so that man can become worthy to enter His New Paradise. Only those with pure and humble hearts will be given this Gift.

    Your Jesus"

Increasing temperature combined humidity makes people sick of unbearable sweat or prsepirant. Also, makes mentally and physically week and impatient. Such weather conditions were never there in forgone years of 60 'a.

    Yes sir,
The situation is already very bad; it's very very uncomfortable to pass through the summer season, if the temperatures keep on rising further it would be very inhospitable to thrive!

People of coast are fast asleep when harzardous industries, coal fired power plants release toxic gases into air whole night. This plays a huge role in increasing temperature, altering natural mixture of gases in air & also causes acid rains. Wake up!! Request all to go to areas surrounding MRPL UPCL at 3-4 a.m morning & experience toxic suffocating air for yourselves

The shocking fact that the city is recording the highest temps in India does not augur well for the residents or those who are thinking of making it a home!

Main criteria is climate should be moderate!

There are also more trees and vegetation being cut down , which reduces the amount of shade and cool crosswinds, and this creats a "heat island" in the urban areas.

Agree with you 100%, no doubt about it its because of the concrete roads, before the city was concretized the temperatures were about average.

Dylan mangalore, not only concrete roads but whole concept includes.Just see our present buildings with concret blocks .Everything takes in high temperature ,gives out hardly but inside. If roof was covered by some means or roof would be done green ,better.Fans and ACs work continuesly .that too will be hot.No proper fresh air because see is far ,trees hardly seen except in villages.some companys work ,our electricity too gives out a lot of warmth.

Citizens should try to plant more trees in barren land and empty spaces. Forest department can help the citizens to provide free saplings of different trees under some new schemes .

Are our rulers understanding this phenomenon?

Even during rains unprecedented flooding takes place in many areas where people have spent a fortune to build big mansions leading to heavy losses, now they're trapped badly as nobody will ever think of buying a house or property due to such uncertainty!

Planting tress wont do any good to the climate, our sea and oceans are getting polluted everyday and this is the main problem nobody is speaking. 50%-80% of oxygen comes from oceans not from trees.
