Bengaluru: 2013 ATM attack - Court sentences accused to 10 years in prison

Bengaluru, Feb 2: The 65th city civil and sessions court on Tuesday found Madhukar Reddy (36) guilty of attacking a bank staffer, Jyothi Uday with a lethal weapon inside an ATM kiosk of Corporation Bank and sentenced him to 10 years in prison.

On November 19, 2013, the accused Madhukar Reddy had attacked a bank employee Jyothi Uday when she was inside an ATM kiosk withdrawing money. The crime took place in Corporation Bank ATM at Corporation Circle in Bengaluru. The entire incident that was captured on a CCTV camera had left people in shock given the brutality of the crime.

Following several years of investigation, the police were finally successful in nabbing Madhukar.

It is said that Madhukar is a resident of Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh.

    I wonder why madukar reddy committed such crimw during 2013 actually it was golden Era by our earlier ruling party. He could have been lead and earn easily by Hardworking because
    1.pleanty of job was available before 2014.
    2.economy was booming up before 2014.
    3.no demonetisation effect.
    4.no gabbar Singh tax.... GST. Before 2014.
    5.no fake promises. Before 2014.
    6.friendly atmoshere before 2014.
    7.othee than adani and Ambani allowed to do the business. Before 2014.
    8.real acche din before 2014.
    9.real beti bachao and betii padao.
    10.less fuel prices to carry out transportation before 2014.
    11.less commodities price before 2014.

    Court is very smart didn't want to make it look big so 12 years actually it's 20 years 12 8..what has our legal system turned to 8 years to sentence a robber..

    I don't think it's working like that. The timit took to give the verdict happens to be his punishment too. So, out of 12 years, if 8 have already passed, he has to stay in the jail for 4 more years.
