Manish Bishnoy, head of Golden Book of World Records announced the record. He handed over the certificate to Thanushree.

Speaking to mediapersons he said, “Thanushree is a blessed child and her bones are flexible as she is extraordinary in Yoga. This is really amazing and extraordinary record. She has already created five records. This is a sixth record made by her. Final certificate would be issued after the verification by the esteemed organization. Earlier, a person from Dubai had created forward body skip. Thanushree has proved herself that she is a golden girl. This is an unbelievable moment of her. Her body flexibility is astounding. She has been creating records one by one in the Golden Book of World Records.”

Thanushree said, “I am so happy that I reached the goal in my first attempt. I tried this during lockdown period at home. When I had been to Italy, one person from Tamil Nadu performed most backwards body skip moment 48 times in a minute and it was a Guinness record. I got inspired seeing him. I practiced constantly at home. In first attempt, I did 20 times. Later on, I got better. When I reached 46, I decided to enter to go for the record. But because my age, I was not able to enter the Guinness Book of Records. Then, I chose Golden Book. I would like to thank my parents and all who supported in my achievement.”

Father Uday Kumar said, “She did her best than her practice time. I am feeling proud about her records. It is not that easy to achieve. Her next aim is presenting more postures of yoga in short duration. We hope to do it very soon.”

Jayakar Shetty Indrali, managing director, Badagubettu Credit Cooperative Society, Yashpal Suvarna, president, Fish Marketing Federation, Rashmi Bhat, councillor, Sr Vibha, head of St Cecily's Educational Institutions, Ramakrishna Kodancha, Yoga teacher, Vishu Shetty Ambalpady and others were present.
