Kundapur: Two youths killed as speeding car smashes into bike

Kundapur, Feb 9: Two persons died after a Maruti Alto car smashed into a bike at considerable speed on the concrete road near the church on Church Road here at around 10.30 pm on Monday February 8

The deceased have been identified as Kiran Mesta (24) from Maddugudde here, and Raveendra Kumar (25) from Neralakatte village nearby. Both were travelling by the two-wheeler.

As per reports, the car in question that was moving towards the town from Maddugudde at high speed and was being driven recklessly, hit the bike from the front side. Due to the force of the collision, both the people on the bike suffered serious injuries on their heads. Both were taken to the government hospital here but they died before reaching the hospital.

Deceased Kiran Mesta was a medical representative while Raveendra Kumar was working for a private firm at Udupi.

A case in this respect was registered in the traffic police station here.
