Mangaluru, Feb 10: A rowdy-sheeter was attacked with lethal weapons at Katipalla here on Wednesday, February 10.
The miscreants chased and attacked rowdy-sheeter Pinky Nawaz (26), a resident of Katipalla. They came in a Swift DZire car and fled the spot after the attack, sources said.
Nawaz has been admitted to hospital with grievous injuries. His condition is said to be stable.
Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar informed that Nawaz was attacked by a person identified as Shakib alias Shabbu along with four or five others. Shakib, a resident of Katipalla, is wanted in chain-snatching and other cases.

Nawaz is the prime accused in the murder of BJP worker Deepak Rao that took place in 2018.
It is suspected that Nawaz was attacked in revenge for Rao's murder.
It may be recalled that on January 3, 2018, Deepak Rao (30) who was working in a mobile shop owned by one Abdul Majeed, was brutally attacked by lethal weapons by four miscreants who arrived in white Swift car.
Investigations are on.
