Mangaluru: Man arrested for duping people of Rs 46 lac on pretext of Bitcoin investment

Mangaluru, Feb 14: A man has been arrested for allegedly duping people of lacs of rupees on the pretext of investing money in a Bitcoin company.

The arrested accused has been identified as Abdul Latif, a resident of Ammunje, Bantwal.

A person, who was alleged conned by Latif, has registered a complaint with the Economic and Narcotic Crime police of the city.

In his complaint, he alleged that Latif made many people believe that he was the administrator of a company called 'Bitcoin Crypto Currency' and cheated several people to the tune of Rs 46 lac.

The complainant, a resident of Kunjathbail, Marakada has also stated that Latif has cheated several other people in the same manner.

    investing in bitcoin is not greed. Banks give peanut interest and people are naturally looking at better revenue. Thats the reason people invest in shares as one of the option. Here cheater is criminal and investors are humble people! Everyone has right to become millionaire and its a healthy aspiration.
