Vijayapura: 'Venomous snake' - Unfazed by show cause notice, Yatnal targets Yediyurappa's son

Daijiworld Media Network - Vijayapura (SP)

Vijayapura, Feb 15: BJP MLA representing the city assembly constituency here Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, who was recently served a show cause notice by the party high command for making certain statements against chief minister B S Yediyurappa, has made another wild allegation against the BJP leaders.

"There are venomous snakes and scorpions inside the residence of the chief minister (CM) and Yediyurappa has been working in the midst of them," he said, in a reaction aimed at hitting back at the statement made by the CM's son and state vice-president of the BJP Vijayendra.

"The chief minister has been surrounded by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren who do not allow him to move about freely. lWhen he was the leader of the opposition, no one used to be there at his house. Two persons, of which one was a cook, were the only ones to be found there. After he became the CM, his entire family has come to reside with him. Because of his family, his reputation is being dented. He is now a changed man. Specifically because of Vijayendra, the family's image has taken a beating. Those who were the cronies of Vijayendra and othiers who made arrangements for the night for him have now become the chairpersons of corporations and boards," he said.

Yatnal said that B Y Vijayendra has a large team and a centre where fake CDs are made in respect of people whom he detests. "I have information about it. When Yediyurappa was building the party, I filled his car's fuel tank with petrol but now the CM has reached the zenith of nepotism," lhe charged.

"Suttur Swamiji has been asked to take upon the leadership mantle of Veerashaiva Lingayat. He tried tobreak the Veeerashaiva Lingayats but his efforts failed. They use the Veerashaiva LIngayat for his convenience which harms our party. Our party is unlike the Congress, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Yadav and Deve Gowda family parties. Like what our Prime Minister wishes, we should do away with family politics. Therefore, everyone in the CM's family should not indulge in politics. Let one do politics and in Bengaluru they have enough business interests and houses," he stated.

Yatnal said that about 35 of Yediyurappa's family members sit in his home office and do business. He said collection and transfer business is done there. He wanted to know why the entire family of the CM went to Mauritius with a special flight. He asked people why they continue to live with the CM.

"There is widespread discontent within the party against Vijayendra's autocratic behaviour and arrogance. Some ministers do not get chair to sit when they go to Vijayendra. But because of power, everyone is silent. Vijayendra posts Facebook comments against me through fake Facebook account. The family is looting, I am fighting for principles on the lines of the Prime Minister's 'Na Khaunga, Na Khane Doonga' policy, Yatnal said.

Yatnal also expressed anger at the statements that he has been issued with a notice from the party and held Vijayendra and minister Murugesh Nirani responsible for the same. He said he has not received any notice and that he has already written a reply. He said that the CM had promised during Kalaburagi election to include Adi Banajiga and Panchamsali sects in 2A category and questioned why the promisel is not kept as the CM has got the right to do this.

Yatnal said he has not been asked by the high command to desist from getting involved with reservation agitation as being claimed by some leaders. He expressed gratefulness to the police for giving police escort since the last two days on the basis of intelligence input about danger to his life.
