Dubai: Veronica Alva to Lead UAE Pamboorians

Dubai, Jul 10: Veronica Alva, a well-known and dynamic personality among Pamboorians, was elected president of Pamboorians (Pamboor Welfare Association, UAE).
 
In a recently held general body meeting at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama, members of the association gathered to elect the new working committee for the year 2010-11.
 
The meeting commenced at 12.30 pm with a prayer by Agnel Prakash followed by a welcome note by the outgoing president Daniel Saldanha. The meeting held a brief review of all the activities of the association during the previous year.

 
Kishore Noronha conducted the election process and the new committee members were elected with Veronica Alva as president and Lester Alva as secretary.
 
New committee members are as below:

Secretary           : Lester Alva
Joint Secretary   : Marwin D’Souza
Treasurer            : Diany D’Souza
Cultural Secretary: Anita D’Souza
Finance Committee: Santan Alva and Diany D’Souza
 
After the election, outgoing president Daniel Saldanha thanked the committee and the members for their consistent support during his tenure and requested all to work together to strengthen the association.

Newly-elected president Veronica Alva thanked the outgoing president and committee members for successfully leading the association during their tenure.

She emphasized that this is a new challenge assigned to her and promised to continue all the good work carried out by the association in previous years. She requested the committee and the members to extend their full support and assured that she would do her best for the unity and continuity of the good work.
