Mangalore: Jappinamogeru, Yekkuru Inundated Due to Relentless Rain

Mangalore, Jul 16: Several areas in the city especially Jappinamogeru and Yekkuru are inundated owing to incessant rain in the past 24 hours.

As the barricade of the canal which flows towards river Natravati has broken down, there have been floods in the nearby areas including Jappinamogeru.


The school going children faced lot of inconvenience on Friday July 16 as the roads were filled with rain water. The vehicular movement was also in trouble and people had to face the problem of traffic.

Landslides also occurred in Yekkur and the primary school campus at Jeppinamogeru has submerged in the rain waters. The authorities will have to soon come up with the solution to the problem as it affects the normal life.
