Mangalore: 'Bajarang Dal Behind Church Attacks,’ Deposes Cop

Daijiworld Media Network- Mangalore (SR/SP)

Mangalore Jul 17: Personnel of the police department deposed before Justice B K Somashekhara Commission of Inquiry probing church attacks in the state, which took place on September 14 and 15, 2008, at the Commission’s sitting in the city on Friday July 16.

In reply to questions posed by advocate for Christian witnesses, M P Noronha, police sub-inspector of Mangalore Rural, Prakash, said that  “It is observed through verification of documents available with our station and investigation that Bajrang Dal activists were responsible for the incidents occurred on September 14 and 15, 2008. The attacks on churches in Mangalore might have been carried out by the Bajrang Dal activists.”  Further, Prakash stated during the cross examination by advocate for Christians M P Noronha that no cases of forceful religious conversion were registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station.

Talking about the controversy related to Kursugudde near Pachanady, he said that "A government site in Pachchanady in the city where dispute had arisen between two communities during the above period, fell within the jurisdiction of his police station. While admitting that a few crosses had been erected at the site in question, he said he was not aware that it was a place where Christians used to offer prayers. “On Augurst 23, 2008, I went there after someone called the police station, informing that a few saffron flags had been installed at this place by using iron rods. On reaching there, I found some saffron flags in the place that had boundary wall around it."

He said the call was not received from the priest of Bondel church, but from someone else. He confessed that he had not taken steps to clear the saffron flags from the site, as both Hindu and Christian community members had gathered there, and the situation was tense. He said, a man named Antony Serrao had filed a complaint in the police station, after his visit. He admitted that the complaint had as its enclosure, a booklet on happenings in Orissa. He felt that in his opinion, there was no crime involved, and hence said, he did not register any case, although he had questioned a few persons on the basis of the complaint, and assistant sub-inspector of the police station, Vishalakshi, had conducted investigation into the matter.

During his cross examination by advocate Ibrahim, Urwa Store sub-inspector of police, Kiran G, said the policemen filed affidavits about the incidents with the Commission with delay in February, 2009, as they were busy otherwise. He disclosed that he had sent an affidavit by post on February 12, 2009and submitted another affidavit on the 18th of that month to the Commission, as he was unsure as to whether the earlier affidavit had reached the Commission or not. He admitted that he visited the spot after getting message that disturbances were on at a church.

“I posted a policeman there, admitted an injured constable into the hospital. I did not try to nab the trouble makers. Our personnel tried to nab them, but failed. On September 15, five suspected hooligans were arrested. Even though I know about the existence of an organization named Bajrang Dal, I do not know whether those involved with the disturbances belonged to this organization”, he claimed.

He said he knew that Adoration Monastery was attacked on September 14, and asserted that he had properly followed the instructions contained in a notification issued by the superintendent of police on September 13, 2008.  He said that Christian community people had gathered near Lady Hill on September 15, which was not a peaceful protest, and that the policemen succeeded in dispersing the crowd by holding dialogues with the protestors.

In reply to questions directed at him by advocate Narayan Reddy, Kiran G said that the case 124/2008 registered by him pertained to untoward incident. He said the policemen did not resort to caning in the above incident, as they thought it would disrupt peace. After Ibrahim objected to this statement, the Commission heard arguments on the issue and felt that both the reply furnished by the witness and the question raised, were not appropriate.

Dear Mr. O M, after refuting your comments, you are now succumbed to the truth and righteousness which is a core subject for oneself to pursue. We have to walk righteously, lawfully and truthfully. If every person has same mind the situation might have been different. We have been created in diverse kind of mind, body and soul and a rationale person should utilize his mind and soul for goodness thereby relinquishing violence, deceiving, robbing, thrashing, killing, bombing, greed and zealous and revive oneself and stay on a righteous track. May our Lord and savior bless all of us.

The young Jews man 'Jesus Christ'(Jesus bron in a Jews family) came to this world to save the humanity from sins, and show the path to His father in heaven, His teaching to the world was to turn away from sins, repent and come back to your father in heaven. After his death his followers are called christians. Christianity not began from Hindu religions as some are claimed here.

The missionary work, nobody can stop, this is divine work carried away by humans, when Mother Teresa of Calcuta started her Missionary work with only 14 Nuns many of the Hindu people tried their best to dampen her spirit, but faild, today her missionery work is spread to more than 100 countries all over the world, and more than 4000 nuns are working for Aids hospices, orphanges, oldage homes, refugess, natural calamity victims, sick and dieing etc. She was recognised for her Missionery work worldwide and awarded 'Noble Prize' along with many other.

Dear Mr. O M I quote your comment He said that a convert from Hinduism is not only one Hindu less, but an enemy more. It is vice versa in other religions, not from the followers of Jesus Christ. I will quote another of your sentence. The Hindu culture is the oldest living culture in the world. This has been achieved at a great cost in terms of resisting those who came to destroy. Unquote. God loves His every creation. When the Lucifer (the super angel) rebelled against God God did not kill for rebelling instead caste down from heaven. Isaiah 14:12. Hence no human can destroy each other, in other terms/words, can a Hindu, a Christian, a Muslim, a Buddhist, and a Sikh kill each other and wipe out each others identity except God alone. It is not the human who preserves one another but God alone. Hence I did not find anything new from your comment.

India is the most tolerant country in the world. She includes all nations in the embrace of her love.
The Western nations are the descendents of the original Hindus or Aryans. They might have forgotten their old connections with the Aryans and Hindu culture. They might have forgotten all about their ancestors. But this cannot be effaced from the annals of history. Mother India, the repository of Hindu culture, cannot forget her children beyond the seas. They are always dear to her. Hindu culture and Hindu civilisation were at their zenith in the days of yore. Greeks and Romans imitated the Hindus and absorbed Hindu thoughts. Even now Hindu culture stand foremost in the world. No religion has produced so many great saints, sages, Yogins, Rishis, Maharshis, prophets, Acharyas, benefactors, heroes, poets, statesmen and kings as Hinduism. Each and every province of the country has produced intellectual giants, poets and saints. Even now India abounds in Rishis, philosophers, saints and high intellectuals. Even now she abounds in sages and great souls.
The Hindus had to undergo severe hardships and tortures. They had to face fierce battles and cruelties and yet they live today. Some mysterious power has preserved them. Some invisible force has protected them. That power will protect them for ever

Anyone cannot buy or sell God for money. & anyone cant change the heart forcefully, if anyone converting for money than there is laws, make police complaint rather than attack? Let police arrest them. Why this kind attacks, and destroy peace. Christian people are peace lover .and we want peace. We want to adjust with all religions.
Our duty is to help poor and needy. may any Christian go and help anyone needy than it is not for conversion.?..
What we use to live, eat, drink, enjoy, food, cloth, work, career, all activities everything, we have freedom to choose and change why only in religion not. That is our personal matter. relation between me and my God
when I know I change my life, follw the commandments of God and obey, than all things are possible with God. He provide all my needs according his word. His love and mercy is never been imagine. He is the God of never changing or never failing He lives forever, his word and promises forever who follow him. When I reading the word Of God than only I understand the truth. So why I neglect, health, Joy,Peace. Blessings from him. And this is new life for me.I came out of all my past life ( folwing rituals and traditions of forefathers without God,) and accept the word of God and try to live new way with God. Who think this is wrong than read the word of God. in that everything have and we can see that in the following People of the word of God.I myself took long time.years to accept that.

Nobody knows. If you go by Hindu mythological stories, Hinduism is trillions of years old. If you go by Max Muller, the German philosopher, it is at least 8000 to 9000 years old.

Hinduism might have started as Dravidian civilization and later merged with Aryan civilization. Of course, my friend David Frawley has written a wonderful book, explaining that ARYAN INVASION OF INDIA never happened and it is a myth.

How ever studying the relics of Mohenjadaro and Harappa excavations, I conclude, relics of the Indus civilization shows "merging of many cultures and concepts." The Indus Valley was home to the largest of the four ancient urban civilizations of Egypt, Mesopotamia, India and China. Harappa & Mohenjodaro were cities in the Indus Valley civilization that flourished around 2,500 B.C. in the western part of South Asia. The roots of Hinduism can be traced to this civilization. The language spoken here is believed to be from Dravidian family.

Hinduism has the strange capability to ABSORB AND GROW FROM ALL QUARTERS and that is why in it you can see relics of all other civilizations like Egyptian, Celtic, Mayan, Greek, Roman etc.

To me it does not matter the exact date it was born, since nobody can prove or disprove the exact date. I am more concerned about what it has to give to the world.

Further to my below comments. Dear O M instead of defending comment and playing another music. I quote your previous comment: Every year, churches around the world perform US $1.1 billion worth of research in 3,000 languages, covering 180 religious topics for conversion purposes. Unquote. Missionaries are spending the money for what? For the betterment of humans for education, health, old aged, mentally retarded people, for HIV patients and not for the cow sheds. The present Puttur which you are seeing was a solid dedicated selfless service/base promoted by Rev. Fr. Monsgr. Antony Patrao who collected money from around the world and almost rural area people were capable to educate themselves well with the least college fees charged Do you mean all those who have educated have converted to Christianity? The college lecturers were mostly, Brahmins and other Hindu caste people got employed. Who got employment Hindus? Offcourse Christians efficient Christians also were employed. Nearly a century, only one church was withstanding at Puttur and now only recently Christians build two other churches and this money was only from Christians and not from the government. The present government is building cow shelters and not for human shelters. O M your comment is self explanatory.

    OM, Udupi, Greetings
Please read what you have written
1.One may take advice from gurus, friends, books, etc. But, one has to apply one’s own mind and come to a conclusion of suitability of a path for one’s ownself, & one takes the responsibility for the decision.

2.Tolerance means that while one has chosen a path for oneself, one accepts that another may chose a different path.

3.This tolerance is the reason why there have been infinitesimally small religious strife in India throughout the ages

4.When there is true spiritual conversions, there is no objection

5.This happens when the person does it on his own inquiry, & not motivated by another to make a study.

Based on your own statements made, out of your own free will, you are accepting that there is no problems if there is true spiritual conversion. if he thinks that, that is his unique way towards salavation.

What will it make you to understand, that when a person converts from one religion to other it is for spiritual reasons & not for getting college degree, or admission to a cultural organization.
Then why make such hue & cry over conversion and damage churches for following exactly the words that you have said.

In your next comment, you are making a "U" - turn by disagreeing the concept of conversion which you advocated, by saying "a convert from Hinduism is not only one Hindu less, but an enemy more."

What is your final say ?. Hinduism is tolerant, to spiritual conversions or Not.??

The essence of Hinduism is its pluralism, in which tolerance is a by-product. This pluralism is expressed in a shloka made famous by Swami Vivekanand during his tour of the West at the time of the World Parliament of Religions in 1893. The shloka goes as follows: ekam sad viprah bahudda vadanti. It is translated by him in English as follows: “That which exists is One, sages call It by various names”.

In short it means that each person has a unique way towards salvation, which is best suited for him/her.To be able to do this, each person has to generate his own spiritual experience. One may take advice from gurus, friends, books, etc. But, one has to apply one’s own mind and come to a conclusion of suitability of a path for one’s ownself, and one takes the responsibility for the decision. Tolerance means that while one has chosen a path for oneself, one accepts that another may chose a different path, and that eventually both will meet at the same place in salvation. This tolerance is the reason why there have been infinitesimally small religious strife in India throughout the ages.
When there is true spiritual conversions, there is no objection. This happens when the person does it on his own inquiry, and not motivated by another to make a study. For example, a person who has some emotional problems, may make a change if approached by a missionary. This cannot be called a spiritual conversion.

Christian organizations have established hospitals with some of the best medical care across the globe. Many of these hospitals operate under the guise of provide free or cheap medical care to rural and poor communities. However, most of these hospitals are providing these benefits not for goodwill but for conversion.

Missionaries will place "Miracle boxes" are put in local churches: The gullible villager writes out a request - a loan, a pucca house, fees for the son's schooling. A few weeks later, the miracle happens, paid for by Western Christian donations. And the whole family converts believing it is a miracle of Jesus, making others in the village follow suit.

By far the most common means of conversion is by buying the poor. In one tribal village, the Missionaries promised ad of each household pair of nylon pants if he converted to Christianity and a motorbike if he converted his whole family. In a matter of a few months, the Missionaries had “spread the gospel” along with pants and motorbikes to the entire village.
To convert rich and middle-class non-Christians, Missionaries, who are well-funded by Western churches, buy their way in by giving money, computers to universities, and scholarships to children of influential officials.

In other cases instead of feeding the starving, Missionaries give away a walkman with a tape of the Bible in their own language to brainwash them instead.

Many innocent looking child sponsorship programs, such as Christian Children's Fund and World Vision, that often advertise on U.S. television are guilty of forced conversions. Many often say, “For 50 cents a day, you'll make a real impact on the life of a child and their community!” However, instead of nurturing these children as they claim, they use this money to buy children of poor non-Christian families (like slaves!). The children unwillingly are then separated from their mothers and are raised by Missionaries who brainwash them with Christian fundamentalist ideas. In other cases, Missionaries will “bribe” the entire family of the child to convert to Christianity.

True social service should be done without expecting anything in return from the recipient. Otherwise it becomes a debased and at best can have an accidental redeeming value. If the motive is bad, then the social service has no real merit. There are many organizations that are doing noble service without expecting anything in return. And in offering such services, the Hindus are very actively involved.

Om, from where you got all these
    statistics? 5000x$330000=16500000
    equals to Rs. 792000000.
Daily expenditure of 79 crore, so
in one year 28835 crore RS.

    Investing $ 330000 or Rs. 15840000/
one soul is a big investment. As
you have stated that the converts
are poor Hindus, then the Christians consider the poor Hindus
are very valuable. How much money
you will invest to help your
poor Hindu brother in their physical needs?

When the communists took control of China in 1948, the Christian
population was only 5 million, but
    now it is approximately 130
    million. The Church in China
    grew through severe persecution.
    It was not through money.

    Your financial statements about
    the missionary activities is
    simply unbelievable for the
    educated readers of Daijiworld.

Do you know, how much money the
one dozen poor disciples had 2000
years back to shake the mighty
Roman empire. One ordinary fisherman " Peter " preached and
    3000 people followed Jesus Christ
in his first sermon. Many great
and mighty empires tried to destroy
the message of the gospel, but nobody could stop it and nobody
is able to stop it in the future
    either! It is a revolutionary
    message of love and forgiveness.
When Mahatma Gandhi read the "sermon on the mountain" it
went to the core of his heart.
Please read the New Testament and
study the nature of Jesus Christ,
    and make your own conclusions.

The miserable fact for all of us is the population of Christians has been decreasing considerably and at this point of view your calculation is exaggeration/provocation and zeal without facts and only a comment from your pocket. Another one miserable fact is O M UDUPI has not made any calculations of spending money by the ISCON's, the VHP, the Abhinav bharath and in vengeance the recently sprouted organizations are carrying out forcible conversions. How much they are spending in the other continents. To my calculation Hindus population in India as well as out side the country is increasing and O M can enjoy. Is it not Mr. O M., Kindly explain.

Are you small kids who need to be guided and told as to what you should and shouldnt do??
Do you not perform all other activities of your life by making your own decisions??
Then what makes your peanut sized brains think that something as a ForceFull conversion exists.

Religion is a persnal right and everyone has the right to choose.. Yes everyone can also be influenced, however the decision maker is YOU.. not the person trying to convert YOU..

If you do not wish to convert out of your religion, then dont. Iam sure Nobody is holding you at knife/gun point and tried to convert you, so dont speak of forcefull conversion..

The whole world knows that BD, SRS are trouble brewing nuisance, who will harbor terror for thier own benefits. If these groups are truely bothered about thier hindu brothers/sisters then indulge in social causes, charity and upliftment of the poor.
There is plenty of garce that is earned by performing these acts.

Its time to come together and be united against Christian conversion which is vastly spreading all over India seriously. If we are ignoring this that means we are making a great mistake. May be around you our nation’s Christian converted Agents are converting innocent Hindus into Christianity for making money out it. This type of conversion is going on every part of India under the name of “Sharing good word of Bible”. Many of our Hindus who got converted into Christians and became Pastors and Preachers are misguiding other Hindus by giving them wrong information about Hindu God and Goddess moreover they are saying “you got birth in Hindu religion because you are a sinner, and you can free from all your sin by converting yourself into Christianity” and converting those innocent and poor Hindu people by fearing them and without their knowledge. They are sending reports of those to whom they had converted, to the foreign funding agencies who are providing money in dollars to these pastors and local churches. That means it became a religious business started by this nation’s converted Pastors. They are making churches in slums, adivasi pads, rural villages and those Churches are utilizing for conversion

    This is True Statistics

In India, it is estimated that 5,000 people are converted to Christianity everyday. That's one person every 17.28 seconds!

In 1972, there were 26 indigenous missionary agencies in India, as of 1997 there are more than 200!

Each day 10,000 Chinese are converted to Christianity due to missionary tactics

It costs Christians 700 times more money to convert someone in rich developed countries such as Switzerland than in poor developing countries such as India. (That is why India is being heavily targeted).

The total cost of Christian conversions averages $330,000 for each and every convert.

US $145 Billion are spent annually for missionary activities.

Every year, churches around the world perform US $1.1 billion worth of research in 3,000 languages, covering 180 religious topics for conversion purposes.

Friends, I have not baptized any. But I have converted many. For me, conversion is not baptizing or circumcision or Shahi Snan. It is living a good life by amalgamating world religion and motivating others to follow how I live.

Christianity, my religion is only the label for following my rituals. Whereas, I am a follower of Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism and other religions in my own ways and ideologies. That's because my Hindu or Muslim brethren have 'converted' me to do that by their virtuous lifestyle or good preachings too. I can give so many examples where I have adopted various Hindu and Muslim virtues in me, which I follow despite being baptized.

Being a Christian, I am teaching everybody of Jesus Christ's teachings by my acts and words, because for me they are the best. That's my conversion. I don't baptize any.

This World is following different methods to convert. As many readers have pointed out, Hindus try to convert Westeners by their fantastic ideologies and ways of life. Muslims by their brotherhood, stern belief in the Supreme God and Christians by the great teachings of Jesus Christ. I accept and impliment good teachings of all religions and ignore their negatives.

If I have to give my life to preach what I belive in or practise, I will be holy. A martyr.

    To all extremists citizens,

what has Bajrang Dal, VHP, etc done for the poor hindus. Why is the evil caste system still prevalent? Do they cook, feed and provide shelter to the poor?

Remember, a man named Godse, a man from your saffron coloured tribe killed Gandhi! You are nothing but a bunch of anti-secular people, who know the language of violence. Animals are better than you.

If you have some shame left, don't waste time on doing bad and talking about conversion and other nonsense. Instead, help the poor in your community, then talk!

All conversions are for greedy. All conversions are for money. Just by converting from one religion to another will not make a person 'a man' . Conversion from one religion to another is worthless.
Conversion by force is sin. Jesus did not wanted it. But those who are acting as the present Jesuses want it. The mad and unwise followers force for it.

In the interest of maintaining the religious harmony, the government should crack down on the trouble-makers, whether they are Hindu, Christian or Muslim. The BJP government should protect only the Hindu fundamentalist elements and criticise other religious group.

Denzil, I am ashamed to call you a fellow Christian. Who says that conversion is every Christian's duty. Nowhere in the Holy Bible is this written. Plus, the Bible tells one to reach out and help other people, irrespective of their caste, religion or colour (The Good Samaritan). Please do not misinterpret the Bible as per your own convenience. Beacause of people like you so many innocent poor people suffered in Orisaa last year. Conversions are reflecting the implicitly that one religion is somehow better than the others. I understand what you Guys go through because,if its hard for the majority of Christians who do worship saints and mother of Jesus, without having the hunger to the words of Jesus himself but rather follow the rituals and traditions of forefathers and attack the preachers, How much more you should get offended!
Its hard I know. I was there when I left Islam for Christ, what profits a man when he is approved among men for a maximum of 130 years and after burn in hell eternally!
There is no other truth which has defiled the theories of science than Jesus himself.
The only historical figure who said he and the creator are one and for which he was crucified which was prophesied around 10000 years before he took human form.
If all deities were from God, they all would have had the same message! Not one eating Beef when other worshiping it, though one of their Gods enjoyed Beef all the times(Indra)!
One believing in karma and moksha and 4 billion believing in judgement day!
If all had represented the same government than all would have had a same message but because sinners rebelled against Creator for evil desires and discovered their own faith.
One king left his fathers throne after seeing the sufferings and people who followed him called him Bhagavan and that became a religion and majority of the beliefs have no historical evidence anyhow! All historians sent by Indian government for the history of Indian epics came back empty handed without any proof!
    Think about it.

Unless a man hates his father, mother, sister, brother or any one in this world is not worthy of his kingdom.
It doesn't mean hating them for every reason but for True Creator.
Guys the people who convinced this world with the message of Jesus were all killed but the true converters never ha d a sword but the word of God which is more powerful than the super powers of this world.
You call Christians as forceful converters!
You don't know if it has to be forceful conversion than the super powers of this world wont need a day to wipe every pagan worshipers!
But the truth is every believer of Jesus will be butchered for his faith that's how the true faith will be tested.

Many people speak about conversion should question themselves, why by their own will many of the people converted and still convert to other religion. Also many religions are born in India, it is mainly I believe because of the harsh caste system in their own religion. In the north and some other part of India the upper caste hindus brutally kill, burn the houses and grab the land of lower caste hindus, they harass and parade naked the women of lower caste hindus, made them become Bandits to take revange, one such example is Phoolan Devi.

The lower caste hindus are labled untouchables they are not permitted to enter into the worship places , the houses of upper caste hindus, even by mistake they touch upper cast hindus it is a big crime and the upper cast hindus will do the cleansing. Now there are no forceful conversions in India. Insecurity and fear about their own religion force them to attack other relgious places.

There are so many self proclaimed sadhu saints in India who often preach and convert the overseas non-practicing Christians into their own cult. One of the similar cult was recently exposed seriously and still continued. There are few Christian groups who took their religious freedom to the houses of Hindu on the intention of enlightening them and preach them what is true and untrue according to the scripts they carried and beleived. They had no intention of political interest or vote bank politics neither they showed interests in contesting or campaigning elections.
I don’t under stand the sentence that says ‘forced religious conversions by Christians’.This sentence often used even by serious senior Hindu political party leaders and few of them well educated and some cases where they themselves acquired quality education through Christian run institutions in India.Even today the prominent Hindu leaders prefer to educate their siblings in Christian run institutions.
That means all this drama of church attacks and provoking speeches by Hindu leaders is nothing but to create havoc in the peaceful society and to divert the Hindu votes.
None of the Hindu leaders are loyal to their own religion and if so then they should have showed interest to develop and educate their own Hindu community by Way of charity and educational institutions ,hospitals .
All these years they could not join and becomeone party but trying to succeed by disturbing peace and harmony in the society.

    Conversion to any poliical party
is fine, and there is no law
to stop it. The choice of political ideology and religious
faith is a fundamentl right of
    every human being. If somebody
is telling me that I can't speak
    about my political ideology and
religious faith, that is a total
    violation of human right and
    a calculated encroachment upon my
God-given liberty. I need not have
get permission from the judge or
    police officials to change my
    religion or political affiliation.

    There are considerable number of
conversions of the black people to
the Islam faith in the U.S. A few
    people born to Hindu
    parents are coming to Christian
    faith. Among the white people,
there are a few embracing Buddhist
    and Hindu religious faith.

    Religious conversion through
inducement or fraud is an unethical
    way of propagating anybody's
    religion. Praching of the gospel
is a mandate given to His disciples
to follow, and it must be done
    with love and grace.

    If I give food to a non-Christian
    with a stipulation " I will give
you food if you convert to my
faith", that is a very low grade
    and cheap propation of religion.
On the other hand, if I feed the
    hungry without any condition, and
if the recipient shows interest to
know my religion and if got
    interested to convert to my
religious faith then it is not a
    forced conversion.

    Politicians have deceitfully
    manipulated religious sentiments
    for political gains we are
    reaping the consequences.

First of all commission is formed to buy the time. We Indians forget anything everything after sometime.By the time when the findings made available to the govt, it would be sent to sine die.If govt have political will to curb like these attckings on places of faith then no chance to form like these KANNIGE MANNU like commissions of enquery.

When you get gold in place of iron, certainly people will opt for gold. It is people's choice. It is selfless service & dedication of Christians which make people to see which religion is right. Forcible conversion is a hoax name given by some groups formed by unemployed people.

Bajrangdal has done all its third class activities by attacking churches & disturbing peace&harmony in the state. Now the criminal act is proved. Yeddi, Pass the bill in the parliment to Ban Bajrangdal & request the Central to Ban this HINDU TERRORIST GROUP immediatly if you are a honest & sincere C.M. This is the time to prove your unbaised administration.

A christian is not a Christian unless he follows Jesus the Creator as per the words of Bible! His words are only available in the Bible. It was the great commission he gave to his followers to preach the truth and warn them of the consequences of not following the true and living God. He never promised that life will be bed of roses for those who follow the truth but rather promised pain, suffering and death!
    His Golden words were...
Why do you fear the one who can only destroy and harm your body but rather fear him who has the authority on both body and soul, which he is going to cast in hell which even the church or the repeating prayers can save it.
Whether its Hindu,Muslim or Christian everyone should have the freedom to convert with his free will. Why no one talks when foreign Christians join Hare Rama and Hare Krishna by renouncing their fore fathers faith.
Jesus never said to convert by force but rather with truth and prayers. If Evangelical or New life Churches have renounced the mediocre churches which has forgotten their true purpose and has compromised with the Gospel of Darkness! So no angel or Gods can stop them doing what they are called to do.
Its obvious that truth is a bitter pill to swallow and christian is not a christian who is complacent selfish who lives for selfish desires. He is the one whom the Lord is going to spit out of his mouth, because he is neither cold nor hot but a lukewarm.
Christianity started with conversion and ends with conversion!

Any religion if the people following it thinks that it is one of the great religion then it should not support conversion from other religions.it shouldnt support accepting peoples from other religions.why should they dilute their religion due to a new person who is all of new to the religion.even if he converted his heart and soul will not be converted.can anybody forget your mother even after going away from her.can anybody change their soul/heart or the attachment with the motherland after they change their nationality or by cancelling indian nationality?.No.these converted people are like cowards.they are ditching two religions.one is mother religion and other is new religion.they are making drama infront of new religion.they cannot forget the "sanskara" of the original religion imprinted in their heart.they have to live in a mask of new religion.dual role.does the new religion give them paradise?do they get "moksha"?.do they get eternity?do their blood changes?.what is the use of conversion.let the people live in their own religion.all the religion should preach this.then only we can fullstop the incidents like this.

I agree in India every individul has freedom to choose any religion he like, it dos't mean that somebody forcefully convert them. Look at this Christian organization, they are getting funds from foreign countries for this purpose. They are paying money to the poor dalit hindus and backword class people and step by step they immotionaly blackmail them to convert into christian. In this case hindu's have right to attack this illegal organizations. I saw in my area where dalits are converted into christians in this way. But one small request from my hindu brothers - it is our own mistake. We have to treat dalit , uppar cast equally, then we will not face like this problems. we will stop this only by way of helping the poors rather then attacking this christians.

Conversions to any religion is a pure personal matter.Let him or her to get police clearence certificate before the coversion. So people will not be worried of religion or get insulted. Why groups are attacking because they feel insulted.Government must pass a law and there should not be any fights in the name of religions. This should be past story.Comon India Wake up!!!

These Sangh Parivar is doing more damage to the Hindu Culture than anybody else. Hinduism is better off without these people. Fanatism has led to intolerence in other religion and same thing is going to happen if these goons are allowed to take charge in Hinduism.

Vishu Shetty says Roman Catholics are not into conversion and then why these goons attacked Milagres Church? Please remember this church is a holy place even for many Hindus.

Bajrang Dal, VHP, Sri Rama Sene, RSS, BJP and all other hindu outfits have all the right to do whatever is appropriate to stop hindus converting to any other religion. Besides NEPAL, India is the only country with a Hindu Majority. With so much population of Muslims & Christians already in the world, I do not understand why they want to convert other people to their religion.

    Vishu Shetty,siddarth,ravi,
I am in full agreement with your views. My stand always has been, there should be no conversions, be it forceful or out of free will, except through the courts of law or Govt appointed body for change of religion.

However, the act of attacking the churches and damaging them , for the reasons, of conversion, and preaching of religion in Hindu homes, by a few individuals or groups does not justify them.

Bajrang dal or who ever was offended by the actions of New life and or christians should have officially notified the Bishop of Mangalore, or filed a case in a court of law, before taking the law into their own hands.

But what baffles me, is that, why the people/group who attacked the churches do not have the courage to come in the open and say, yes we did attack the churches for these reasons, why are they hiding and afraid to take responsibility for the attacks, if they think, what they did was right.??

Yes There is some group, their work is to convert the people who is very poor and soft character .I had the same experience when i was traveling in Bus.They are trying to group up the Christian community in India also.So need to find out first, who is behind the story. Then need to charge properly instead of attacking on church. Then only everyone will woke up from the sleep...It may happen when any govt is ruling the State. So wake-up guys if u really have guts stop that activity first. Then everything will be normal.

every one will react .I respect Roman Catholics they are not into conversion in Mangalore & Lot of Hindus also don’t know the difference between Roman & New Life and other people .No one condemns the religious conversion factor .Conversion was the main issue behind that .I know personally these New Life & Benthicose people approaching others & there are blaming our god in front of us .No one can tolerate this .My personal experience when a benthicose guy insulted Hindu god I told him next one he says I will not leave him .That’s How religious they are irritating.
