Police Dept Distributes Certificates to 86 Rifle Shooting Trained Civilians

Mangalore, Jul 23: The co-operation of the civilians is very crucial to undertake development and such other works in the district, said deputy commissioner V Ponnuraj.

He was speaking at the programme held on Thursday July 22 here to distribute certificates to the civilians who participated in the rifle training programme organized by the police commissionerate, recently.

Such programmes strengthen the bond between civilians and the police department. The trained should educate other civilianson the same, which will go a long way in solving the problems the City is facing, he observed.







































Superintendent of police Dr A Subrahmanyeshwar Rao said that in the coming days the department has been planning to provide rifle training for the rural civilians. As a step in this regard, a rifle training programme will be held in Puttur of the district, he added.

Police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh presiding over the programme urged the civilians trained in rifle shooting to help the department when summoned during emergencies.

In all 86 people, who benefited from the programme were distributed certificates.

    Excellent...but in case of requirement, the weapon would be pointed to straight to the head or to the legs???
    Just hope it is used in the right way else it would be the same as US putting weapons into the hands of Afghanis to fight Russia.
