Doha: Hannah - XI Clinches Summer Trophy 2010

Doha, Jul 24: Prominent cricket players of Qatar Abdul Satar and Abdul Rahim Sana Madaka Mangalore organized the summer trophy 2010 at the Ideal Indian School grounds here, recently. In all eight teams of Doha participated in the tournament.
Preliminary matches were of 10 overs each and the 12-over final match was played. Early in the morning first semi-final match was played between Pallonji Qatar Vs Hannan XI. Hannan XI won the match by 15 runs. Batting first Hannan XI scored 127 runs by losing seven wickets in allotted ten overs and in reply Pallonji Qatar made 112 by losing eight wickets in ten overs. Second semi-final match was played between Kerala XI and UP XI. Kerala XI won the match by huge margin of 37 runs. Batting first Kerala XI scored 132 runs by losing four wickets and in reply UP XI scored only 95 runs by losing five wickets in allotted ten overs.
In the evening the nail-biting final match was played between Hannan XI Vs Kerala XI. Hannan XI won the match by 2 wickets, Kerala XI batted first and scored 106 runs by losing 9 wickets in 12 overs and in reply Hannan XI scored 110 runs by losing 8 wickets. The tremendous performance of Hakim gave easy victory. For Kerala XI Ansar scored 25 runs and and Anees scored 19, Imran and Zabir took each two wickets for Hannan X1. For Hannan XI Hakim made a brilliant 32, Rauf 18 and Muzammil scored 16. Hanif from Kerala XI took 2 wickets conceding 29 runs.
Man of the match was Hakim from Hannan XI, man of the series and best batsman of the tournament trophy was bagged by Zainu from Kerala XI, Best bowler of the tournament was Imran Sr from Hannan X1.

Umpires of the tournament were Nisar from Qatar Airways and Abdul Salam QCA under-14 coach and scorer of the tournament was Aziz.
Tournament was sponsored by Chidanand of Pallonji Qatar, Abdulla Monu Mohidin from Euro Parts and Sudheer Kumar from OHL International.
For the closing ceremony the chief guests were Ramachandra Shetty, president of Tulu Koota, Shaqib Raza Khan, president of KMCA, guests of honour were Iqbal Manna, Joseph Sequiera, Seetharam Shetty and Alexis Castelino. Organizers honoured the chief guests and sponsors of the tournament.
The winning trophy was given away by Chidanand of Pallonji, runner-up trophy by Abdula Monu Mohidin of Euro Parts, trphies for man of the match, best bowler and best batsman were given by Alexis Castelino and man of the series was given away by Joseph Sequeira. Ramachandra Shetty gave away the memento to the guests.
Tournament was co-ordinated by Nisar from Qatar Airways along with Hamza, Basheer, Rajesh,Sidiqui, Rafiqui, Abdul Rehman, Arif, Aziz and Sameer. Soft drin Red bull was sponsored by Hamid.
