Court Issues Non-bailable Warrant Against Reddy for Eighth Time

Bellary, Jul 26, (PTI): A court today issued a non-bailable warrant for the eight time against mining magnate and Karnataka Tourism Minister G Janardhana Reddy for allegedly destructing boundary marks on Karnataka-Andhra Pradesh borders for illegal mining.

JMFC magistrate K K Amarnath issued the NBW and ordered Reddy to be produced before the court on or before August 26.

Tappal Narayana Reddy, a rival mine owner in 2006, had filed a complaint against Reddy and some others accusing them of destroying the boundary marks at Vitlapura, Tumti on the Karnataka border and at Malapuragudi bordering Andhra Pradesh.

Narayana Reddy had also charged them with threatening his life. fter the police registered a case in this connection, Reddy secured anticipatory bail but did not appear before the court when it issued an NBW on December 30, 2009.

Since then, the Sandur JMFC has issued NBWs on February 4, April 3, April 24, May 24, June 26 and July 9.

Reddy failed to appear before the court today following which the case was adjourned to August 26.

Reddy Bros made their fortune to their great great great grand children thru illegal mining . They got one permit when BJP was in power at Central, rest all illegal permits. Thank God Goverment finally caught them and hope they will bring them to justice. Reddy Bros, Santosh and all illegal miners assets should be frozen.

What travesty of justice...! A criminal( anyone arrested for a crime is surely a criminal)arrested seven times, has not been convicted not even once, is roaming free today and has even become an (dis)honorable minister in the BJP government!!Are the laws different for the rich and the famous? While poor people like Gregory Patrao are ordered by court to give up their ancestral land, thier own property mind you, people like Reddy, openly defying the law of the land, are acqitted by the same judiciary!

Either there are two sets of laws in this country, known only to the judges - one for the layman and another for the politicians and the super rich, or the judiciary is self-serving, not really interested in doling out justice .....CRY my beloved country, as we celebrate our 68th Independence Day, you are getting more and more bound by the chains that once bound you!!!Jai Hind!!

If it is a NBW against Reddy, who has to produce him in the Court? Is it the general public or the Police? Let the police come out with their statement of failure and hand over to the general public I am 100% sure will be produced in front of the judge with no time.

There are few people who are above the law here. Neither police nor the law can touch them. They have the power and they have money. This is one fine example. Jab tak asirwad aur zindagi hai...they are jolly bees. But we are accountable for every penny we earned and spent and every of blood we spilled on the DAY OF JUDGEMENT. And thats not going to easy ride.

One thing is really admirable! Reddys proved once again that Indian judiciary system is just peanut for them. It is so easy to escape if you have smart lawyers who knows the loopholes of the judiciary system. It is time to change the laws otherwise the courts will become fish markets.

Why dont we make the reddy brothers as our CM? Entire karnataka will come under Andhra Pradesh and illegal mining will be legal. As of now also under bjp government there is no difference. I am surprised Is our CM controlling Reddy bros or Reddy bros are controlling our CM? God Save Karnataka..

This is perfect example for the law and order situation in Karnataka. The person who is ruling the state as a Minister himself does not respect the judiciary system, then what more we can expect from these !!!

If a normal person who booked for stealing 100 Rupees, if there is a single non bailable warrant the cop will arrest and drag his whole family !!!

These honorable ministers still enjoying like Kings even though there are 8 non bailable warrants !!! Imagine where we reached !!!

These are role models for upcoming generation ..

If the Reddy brothers are so honest, patriotric and belong to a party with difference, there would not have been a need for the court to issue 8th summon. It shows how they honour the law of the land. Why bring congress or other party into discussion for a court order?

Which Indian court is greater than Reddy, non-bailable warrant is only for common man. He is very sure that no one will ever be able to prove him guilty, because he is getting his work done by others.

Looks like here too it is the Congress which is behind BJP ministers. All this talk of illegal mining etc., is false as BJP ministers and the MLA's are so patriotic and nationalistic they will never ever steal the country. The Reddy brothers have several times sworn over their so called mother Sushma Swaraj who has given a clean chit to the brothers. What more do you need. BJP is a very honest party with a difference.
