Ore, Granite Slabs Export Banned from Ports Except M’lore Until Lokayukta Probe

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SB)

Bangalore, Jul 27: State government has issued an order to ban export of ore and granite slabs from the ports in the state excepting from the Mangalore port until the lokayukta probe on illegal mining and disappearance of ore at Belekeri in Uttara Kannada district.

The ban has been imposed under Karnataka Forest Act 1963, Karnataka Forest Rules 1969 and Mines and Minerals (Regulation and Development) Act 1957 and Indian Penal Code accordingly. However, Theban does not imply to New Mangalore Port Trust that comes under the centre. The deputy commissioners of the Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Hassan districts have already imposed a ban on transportation of ore and granite slabs on road from the district.

It can be recalled here that High Court recently had passed an order ban on ore export of ten companies of the state. In order to make sure that these companies do not export ores by illegal means, as a precautionary measure until the lokayukta probe government has decided to ban the export of the ore and granite slabs. In the wake of lokayukta’s decision to conduct a probe in detail, the government has also ordered excise officials not to grant permission for exports from mini ports in the west coast of the state.

Well said by Ismail K. Perinje and then followed by nagesh nayak from Bangalore. Guys...you both so called 'JANATHA' of our great nation INDIA why pulling each others pants just supporting the bloody political ruling or opposition parties ?. Can both of you get anything from these ugly parties. Ismail K. Perinje sitting in KSA has to work hard for the whole day and feed his family on the other hand nagesh nayak you are not a MLA, MP or else worth of BJP. Look let us unite each other and work out our brilliant brain for the better success of our own nation instead biting like a dog each other. Nagesh Nayak for God's sake please do not wait for others to comment and then hit them with your ORE and GRANITE SLABS. Comeon...B a gentleman yaar. I have a lot Nayak friends with me here in KSA but they are so gentle and humble on a single day I have not seen them acting like KAL NAYAK to me or any other fellow Indians.

Ismail K. Perinje and Nagesh Nayak you both guyz are my fellow state brothers and kindly do not keep any hard feelings on my small advise. I am very happy that the Ore and Granite slabs are banned by the ruling Government but again it in not by Mr. Yediyurappa but since he is ruling our peaceful K'Taka state he has some major responsibilities to act upon. God bless him and U both.

    Mr. Nagesh Nayak,

BJP makes a big song and dance about the price rise. Why now? Were they sleeping from October 2009? Just when they got the news about good rainfall and good harvest have they woken up? Do they now want to take the credit for falling prices?

BJP leaders Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are now in the docks for minority killings. Has Yedurappa panicked because he knows that Reddy brothers are next? Is he just doing a cover up act because his days are numbered?

October 16th 2004 Yedurappa’s wife Maitro Devi died falling in a 4 feet water tank while she was 5 feet 4 inch. Was she killed and thrown in the water tank?

Where is Shoba Krandajale and what is Yedurappa’s next move?

Guys, when there is a total ban on export of ore and granite how can there be ore trucks on NH 17 even to Mangalore port until conclusion of inquiry ? Ore trucks will go only to steel factories. In Mangalore there is one factory in Baikampady.

Keshav, India is a Hindu country with 80% of the population being Hindu’s. So your of Hindu religion being wiped out is unwarranted. We are not against Hindus and we only wish to live in peace and harmony with Hindus. However it is the BJP who practices politics of hate ( Narendra Modi, Thogadia and Amit Shah ) and takes great pleasure in attacking minorities and vandalizing places of worship.

Nagesh, You are right. Once the iron ore trucks start to ply on NH17 which is already in a pathetic condition, we will have no option but to sell our vehicles. I am a businessman and I travel extensively all across India. Even poor states like Bihar, UP and Orissa have 4 and 6 lane expressways compared to our NH17 which does not even look like a highway and parts of his highway has more of abandoned cattle instead of vehicles.

Joyce, I know that is the agenda (to eliminate BJP first then Hindu religion) of some source in the world. Only time can give answer to it. If we look at the history I think the plan is being executed properly. It may take 2-3 generations with this pace I guess.

When Modi and his ministers will be convicted there will be no MP's in BJP to form Govt. You people where in opposition for 57 years of 65 years, and you will remain in opposition for the next 100 years to come before your party vanishes. Your party is virus to the communal harmony of this country

It is high time that the fast developing nation like ours stop exporting iron ores which is the back bone of our industrial growth. Invite NRIs & MNCs to make end products out of these ores. Don't allow the rouge industrialists multiply their assets with their ill-gotten wealth.
