BELLARY, JUL 29: The Bellary mining lord’s campaign to counter the ``Bellary chalo, BJP hatao” yatra of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee to mobilise public opinion against illegal mining by launching the ``Swabhimani Bellary Yatra” under which Karnataka’s health and family welfare minister B Sriramulu tonsured his head and started wearing black cloth and decided to go barefoot and eat pulses and dryfruits, seems to have affected the BJP workers with as many as 40 persons shaving off their heads on Thursday.

There were reports of party workers from other parts of the Bellary district and other districts tonsuring their heads as a show of support to their leader Sriramulu.

The Bellary Reddy Brothers’ led yatra which was launched from Chellgurki, near Bellary, in the presence of Sriramulu and Tourism and Infrastructure Development Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy and Revenue Minister Gali Karrunakara Reddy and other MLAs and leaders.

Addressing a large gathering of BJP workers at the village ground near Yarri Thaatha (Swamy) Temple, Sriramulu declared that they had accepted the challenge thrown by the Congress leaders and decided to counter the false propaganda over the issue of mining business.

"This nothing but a deep-rooted conspiracy hatched by the Congress leaders, whose ultimate goal is to dislodge the BJP’s one and only regime in South India,” he said amidst thunderous applause from the crowd.

Sriramulu, a close associate of Bellary Reddy Brothers, said none of them had been indulged in the illegal mining. ``Our business is completely transparent. Even if an iota of truth is found in the allegations, we will not continue in the power even for a minute,” he declared
Terming Governor Hans Raj Bhardhwaj as ``Congress agent,”  Sriramulu said the former had degraded the honour of the high office. He was not discharging his duty in the right spirit of the parliamentary democracy. Instead of being a guardian of the Constitution  Bharadhwaj had become subservient of the Congress, which was highly condemnable.

Janardhana Reddy said the BJP regime in the State had initiated number of developmental  schemes including Arogya Kavacha 108, an emergency medical service through ambulance and Vajpayee Arogya Shree, a medical insurance scheme meant for poor.

He said the Congress leaders were demanding Lokayuta probe into alleged illegal mining in the State. However, when the State Government readily agreed to the demand, they changed their stance. They were now hell-bent on CBI inquiry so that they could use the agency as tool to harass the political opponents.

The Congress leaders were afraid of Lokayukta probe as they knew they would be exposed.
In its earlier report, the Lokayukta had exposed the true colour of many Congress leaders who had indulged in illegal mining. The mining business was monopoly of the Congress for decades. They were the real culprits, who looted the mining wealth of the country, he charged.

Karunakara Reddy said they had to come to people as the Opposition did not allow them to place facts on the issue of mining in the legislature.

Bellary MLA Gali Somshekhara Reddy said they would go to any extent to safeguard the interest of local people.

BJP MLAs Suresh Babu, Nagendra, Nemiraj Naik, Somalingappa and Chandrappa, MLC Mrityunjay Jinaga, former MP Kolur Basavanagouda, BUDA chairman Gurulinganagouda and others participated.

I really pity our motherland Karnataka which is a treasure trove for many valuable minerals ,mainly iron ore looted by this so called Reddy brothers which our local people call as Reddy Samrajya in Bellary district ,we hailing from the same district are ashamed of ourselves to be ruled by such shameless, mannerless, leaders.Though Bellary is known for its great history of Vijaynagar and its rich heritage,it is now gaining popularity for its money and muscle power, illegal mining. The ordinary citizens have become nothing but just mere spectators fearing to raise their voice against this local rowdy samrajya. Finally we should thank Congress leaders like Siddaramiah and Deshpande for taking this bold step against Reddys as they have braved 320 kms padayatra to eliminate this evil ..We welcome the Heroes to our place on 9th of this month. At least we have a ray of hope now We want justice to our land..Jaihind jai Karnataka.

Sreeramulu's action plans are purely democratic.I wonder why people criticise him. Those who are dreaming that their days in the government are numbered, living in a fool's paradise. If BJP government in Karnataka is there then Reddys will be there. They are inseparable and inevitable.

With malice to none, I must say, our CM would be better off, without these Reddy brothers. A health Minister who perhaps does not even know the gravity of health issues facing Bangalore, (Various types of viral fever on the rise) a tourism minister who may not even know any place other than, Bangalore, Bellary mines and Delhi, the very own block heads who literally brought the government to its knees. I pity our CM.

Most of all having the three idiots to represent us when we are thinking forward. How can we even say that we are a modern democracy. I can imagine if the drivers of ore laden trucks can show so much of audacity, what about these three goons. These are the very people who threatned the opposition with dire consequences if they ever stepped foot in Bellary. All scenes right out of movies. It's a shame, where Bangalore has one of the most forward thinking populations while our so called leaders are nothing but a bunch of goons. What a pity, what a pity!

This kind of drama is not new in Karnataka.Money v/s democracy.Reddy brothers have enough money to manipulate and make more such dramas in Bellary till CONG PADAYTHRA reaches Bellary (AN PUBLIC PLUS CONG UPRISING AGAINST REDDY GARU'S ILLEAGAL MINING AND UNCULTURED/UNDEMOCRATIC BEHAVIOUR)

Redyy and thier gang's days are numbered as ministers because yesterday's late night breaking news was - Yeddy making preparation for take off to clip the wings of powerful Reddys.Renukacharya already met with several MLA's and ministers to mobalise support to Yeddy.

A claver Yeddy cornered Reddygarus by indirectly taking support from Cong and JDS.A mystrious question arises why Yeddy want to meet JDS Chief Devegowda today to discuss mine issue???????????have any ans by PSUEDO- NNB?????????

The beautiful bald heads pose too tempting a picture not to comment...Though there are some answers needed here from the bald heads-
By protesting thus are they telling the nation that the illigal mining or looting by Reddy brothers is right and BJP wants the Reddys to continue looting the land?
The BJP flock will only lose their precious hair if the gain is hefty. So how does the BJP benefit if the Reddys loot the nation? Cash flow? promise of power?
Is this the party with a difference- one that supports criminals and looters?
Or is there any ulterior motive, like, maybe a strong hope that the ill-gotten welath of Reddys will prop up a BJP government at the Center with Amma Swaraj as the PM ? By the time the Reddys & co. finish their looting spree, the nation will be too poor to stand on its own and will need more than Reddy money to survive- Maybe Vedanta London can prop up the Reddys, both in the same business!!!

This is from a news article in dailypioneer

"According to sources in the Congress, more than 90 per cent of the mine owners belong to the Congress and this move would hurt them the most. Several of them are planning to take legal route and contemplating challenging the decision as and when it comes into effect."

So if congress is serious then they should do Padayatra in AP where most of the Reddy brother mines are located head quartered in Ananthpur district.

Do we need such representatives who make yatras or tonsure their heads? Do our politicians know why we have elected them? This is ridiculous. Instead of taking their duties seriously, they are out to waste time and the tax payers money. Wake up people, let us not bring such irresponsible persons to power again.

These Reddy Brothers have gone completely mad. They do not know what to do? A simple padayatra by Congress has made them so nervous that they do not know how to react.

People want these people out of the government. Yedyurappa will be much better off without these goons in the government.
