Chikmagalur, Aug 2 (DHNS): ''The Popular Front of India (PFI), which is engaged in anti-national activities, should be banned,'' demanded Sri Rama Sene State President Pramod Muthalik.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he said that he had pointed out the issue two years ago. Quoting Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan, Muthalik said that the PFI is engaged in ‘Love Jehad’ and other anti-social activities.
He said that it is a disparity to impose Rs 2,000 tax on Amarnath pilgrims. “It is an injustice that the government, which extends subsidy to Muslim Haj pilgrims, is levying tax from Amarnath pilgrims,” he charged.
Reacting to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdulla’s stand of reducing the Amarnath pilgrimage period from two months to 50 days, Muthalik said, “Chief Minister Omar Abdulla’s argument of destruction of environment through Amarnatha pilgrimage cannot be accepted. Sri Rama Sene will have to call for a national campaign of ‘Chalo Amarnath,’ if the Jammu and Kashmir government does not change its decision.”
To a query with regard to Hindu organisations being involved in terrorist activities, Muthalik said, “there is only one terrorism in India and it is Islamic terrorism.”
“Some criminal was into sting operation against me. National media too aired the news for three-four days. However, it is not possible to come to conclusion based on a media report,” Muthalik said. The RSS has been organising Hindus through various activities for the past 86 years. However, there are organised conspiracies being chalked out to demoralise the Hindu ideologies and spiritual personalities, he added.
‘No Friendship Day’
Muthalik said that the Sene is against celebrating Friendship Day and other similar days. Drug and sex mafias are trying to spread ‘day culture’ in the nation. The concept of love cannot be limited for a single day, he added.
