Mumbai, Aug 15: On India’s 79th Independence Day, the makers of Border 2 unveiled the film’s first poster, announcing its release date as January 22, 2026. Starring Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, the film promises to revive the patriotic fervour of its iconic predecessor.

The poster shows Sunny Deol in military gear, gripping a bazooka with fierce determination, alongside the tagline, “Hindustan ke liye ladenge... phir ek baar!” Director Anurag Singh said announcing the date on Independence Day was symbolic, honouring the sacrifices of soldiers and their unwavering spirit.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, Border 2 also features Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. Bhushan Kumar described the project as “more than a film — an emotion for every Indian,” while Nidhi Dutta said the sequel will carry forward the same pride and passion as the original, aiming to touch hearts during an extended Republic Day weekend.

Presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with JP Films, Border 2 is set to bring patriotism, action, and emotion back to the big screen.
