Dubai: 21-year-old arrested for dangerous driving, not following police orders

Dubai, Apr 21: A young driver was arrested by the Dubai police for dangerous driving. The driver allegedly failed to comply with the instructions of the police officers.

According to a statement released on Tuesday April 20, the 21-year-old was arrested by the Dubai Police in cooperation with the Sharjah Police for endangering the lives of other road users. The arrested reportedly had other criminal records and necessary legal measures have been taken against the man.

According to police, his reckless behaviours were in clear violation of the UAE Federal Penal Law No 3 of 1987, and Law No 21 of 1995 concerning traffic. The young man has been referred to public prosecution for further legal action.

The Dubai police have strongly stated that traffic violators who endanger people's lives and who fail to comply with police orders will not be tolerated.
