Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SB)

Bangalore, Aug 4: Congress padayatra to Bellary, opposing the illegal mining in the state and to highlight the need for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter, completed 10 days on Tuesday August 3. On the day rally also covered 200 kilometres with just 120 kilometres left to cover in six days to reach Bellary.

The Tuesday's padayatra began from Gollahalli and reached Challakere where the Congress members camped on the end of the day.

Speaking to presspersons on Tueday August 3, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president R V Deshpande, working president D K Shivakumar and opposition leader Siddaramaiah came down heavily on the BJP government in the state. " Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has lost his mental balance as teh Congress members on padayatra have been receiving rousing reception and support since the last ten days, they said.

The statement by CM in Davanagere expressing that he will destroy Congress shoes his frustration, they added. As stated by CM if Congress is responsible for the illegal mining in the state, let there be a CBI inquiry, chalenged the trio.

The Congress members were accompanied by troupes of folk performers such as kolata, karadi majalu, pilivesha, Nandi dhwaja kunita and dollu kunita among others. Former MP and former MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake, MLAs Abhayachandra Jain, Ramanath Rai, Congress members P V Mohan and Denis D'Silva among others from Dakshina Kannada are participants at the padayatra.

Mr. Lexy you look like confused with your comment. In one side you blame congress for padayatra. In the another side, you say CBI is waste. Still once again you say central govt to act. Remember that Congress in Karnataka through padayatara pressurize Karnataka Govt and Central Govt to initiate action on Reddy's. That is why padayatra is held. If Central govt takes action, it will be CBI enquiry.

Chief Minister Yedurappa is behind this Congress padyatra. He is bluffing Reddys and pretending he is with Reddys. But actually the truth is he is supporting Congressmen to reduce Reddys power in the BJP govt. I told before Yeddy is wise man, he know how to pull the legs of his enemies.Long live Yeddy.

We are really disappointed with congress, they are wasting their time in doing these padayathra & dombarata, they are not working as responsible party, there are several issues more than illegal mining, we agree there is such activities (illegal mining) going on since congress rule and now during BJP rule, Reddy's are corrupt and looters, but such things are also going on in neighbouring Andra Pradesh, were congress is rulling and Reddy's have business there, so time for Central govt to act, CBI enquirie does not prove nothing as its controlled by centre, so only will accuse BJP and give clean chit to congress.
If congress is really serious about the matter they should take the issue to the centre and hang these Reddy brothers. their hidden agenda is to topple BJP, which may not happen.
    Let the common sense prevail.

This is not padayatre.. this iS DOMBARAATA to divert peoples attention away from Flood relief scam by the congress & indirectly trying to topple the elected Govt at the state in the name of CBI- congress beureu of investigation over Minescam. Am sure the setting is already done to safagaurd Congress's direct and indirect miners in proxy names & indict only Reddy bro's.

Anyways Dream on congress. It will take atleast another 20 years for you to come to power in front doors. In the meantime you can try all these things to access entry through back doors. Even though we know BJP is not less corrupt than you guys am sure they are better than you guys will not sell the land and its principles to foreigners.

All these drama is to regain position in Bellary. But people know that during congress time they have not done anything to whole Bellary district and also Uttaka Karnataka. Also people know that many of congmen hold illegal mining buisiness in Bellary area.
Congress in centre and Delhi are exposed now of the scams in CWG and they have no moral value left to talk against BJP now.

It is very interesting to note, Dakshina Kannada congress leaders are at Padayatra. However, missing Oscar Fernandez & his wife at this juncture could have spirited other’s wives’ to join the padayatra.
