Bengaluru, Apr 22: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who was admitted at the Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru after being tested Covid positive for the second time, has been discharged after his fully recovery.

“I am happy to be back,’’ he said speaking to waiting reporters outside the hospital, and expressed serious concern over the constant spike in the Covid second wave.

“This is a very alarming situation with 3 to 4 persons in a single family getting infected,’’ he said.

Yediyurappa said, “I am appealing to the people with folded hands to be careful and strictly follow the Covid containment guidelines. It is necessary that people should not go out of their homes unnecessarily and stay at home. We need to strictly maintain social distancing norms, wear face masks and regularly follow sanitisation protocols.’’

The Chief Minister said he has been regularly in touch with Chief Secretary P Ravikumar and other ministers to keep himself updated on the situation.

“A meeting of the State Cabinet has been convened this afternoon. We need to discuss the measures to be taken to contain the mounting Covid cases and take precautions. The ministers will be asked to visit the districts and monitor the situation,’’ he added.

The Chief Minister said even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been urging people to stay at home as far as possible and take all precautions and follow the Covid guidelines. “This is the best way to overcome the challenge,’’ Yediyurappa said.

Twice tested negative and recovered means CM is having good immunity in the body. Hope that he will start working sincerely for peoples welfare and other burning issues. Forget wasting time and resources for Gau related issues. Humans lives are more important. A good leader can make a country strong and better. May God bless you in your future edeavours.

Admire the physical strength at this age and also he is mentally strong, in spite of 2 covid attacks! Some traits we need to emulate . Have been seeing him since those days, had opportunity in 90s to shake hand , he had that aura even when they hardly had MLA's from BJP in the assembly. Wish him good health ad strength to manage this crisis in our state!.

In spite of all odds with Central leadership, Yeddirappa is fighting for the due rights of Karnataka. It seems few law makers from Coastal Karnataka and other parts of Karnataka are not supportive of the right measures taken by our CM, specially night curfew. Healthy active CM will be the motivation for 6 crores Kannadigas.
