Bengaluru tops list of active coronavirus cases in country

Bengaluru, Apr 24: The number of active coronavirus cases in the city has shot up to 1,49,624 with the detection of 16,662 new cases on Friday April 23. Now the district tops the list of active cases of Covid in the whole country. Pune has the second highest active cases of coronavirus with 1.1 lac positive patients. While Delhi has nearly one lac active cases, the corresponding figure for Mumbai is 81,174.

Out of the total Covid cases in Karnataka, Bengaluru is registering 70% of them. If the same situation continues, within May 1, the number of daily cases will reach 25,000. Even if 5% of those patients are to be provided with emergency medical facilities, it will be difficult according to Dr Giridhar Babu of the technical expert committee.

The only best way to avoid further spread of the infection is to be at home. The second wave of coronavirus is rapidly increasing in India. On Friday, 3.46 lac new cases were recorded throughout the country. With this the total number of infected patients went up to 9.94 lac. More than 2,000 people lost their lives on Friday.

    Modi still is not in fvaour of full lockdown of the country. States are given free hand to decide and act accordingly. What is going wrong ? Ever since BJP/Modiji is in power the country is directly or indirectly facing unexpected bad events, economic down turn and GST turmoil. Times are not in his favour. Rahul Gandhi would have ran out of the country.

    What else can they do than blaming..... according to them root cause for this disaster is 'Nehru' They made fun of Rahul Gandhi when he warned in Feb.2020 and again beginning of this year saying Tsunami is going to come...... and everyone sees the situation of India.... Vaccines are not effective also are in shortage because Prachar Mantri waned brownie points..... exported before inoculating the Indians.... Covisheild and Covaxin are as effective as Chinese Vaccine.... This could be God's curse for the Indians who play the religion card.....

    Only few people in the world are gifted wisdom amd courage to do right things at the right time. In 2020 an entire lockdown was not expected, Secondly the way it wss implemted across the country created chaos. Now when more serious lockdown is required, the government cannot act as it will be a disaster economy wise. So we are left with no choice.
