This is destiny and their life was cut short as the Lord picked them into His kingdom. Many adult swimmers lose their lives too. It is the pressure/current in the water that drags the person in and even experts can not save themselves. I dread the flow of water in some of our rivers, scary and like a horrid flash flood and I think at times these young kids don't realize the gravity of danger they are getting into and in a reflex want to save their friends but the person who is drowning has all the strength to pull the helpers into the water. I lost a neighbor's teen son in a similar passion as he reached out to a drowning friend and both were gone. Sadly these children are gone but it is their loved ones who will live in pain throughout their lives. RIP kidos. Praying for the families.

Why go into the water if you're not a strong swimmer? And even then, we see people drown in waters even if they can swim. One must always be vigilant. You never know what mother Earth will throw at you, hence, never overestimate yourself and your abilities. Very tragic indeed. RIP to the three souls, to the three boys who left too soon.

I had a near-death experience in water in my early years. I had stepped into flowing water without knowing how to swim. I learnt swimming later. My father's sibling drowned in a water pond in his very early years. Despite having this knowledge, my parents never once discussed with the children the dangers of water. It is really unfortunate that Indian parents never discuss with their children anything about safety - whether about water, electricity, fire, etc.
