Karnataka records 31,830 new coronavirus cases, 180 deaths in single day

Bengaluru, Apr 27: The state on Tuesday, April 27 recorded a spike in the number of 31,830 fresh coronavirus cases to its tally.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state rose to 3,01,899. Bengaluru Urban alone reported a huge number of 17,550 cases on Tuesday alone.

As many as 180 deaths due to coronavirus were reported on Tuesday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 97 deaths and Ballari 18. With this, the toll so far has risen to 14,807.

Over 10,793 people were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the total recoveries so far to 10,84,050.

So far, Karnataka has seen 14,00,775 positive cases so far.

Among the total active cases, 2,063 patients are currently admitted in ICUs across the state.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 18.71%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.56%. A total of 1,70,116 samples were tested between Monday and Tuesday.

As many as 90,43,861 people have received vaccination so far in the state.

    Modi has gained the dubious distinction of super spreader of corona, by his election rallies and allowing 37 lakhs of people in Kumbh Mela. About 10 people from our housing complex in Bangalore, had attended Kumbh Mela, out of which 8 people are corona positive and they have given corona to all their family members. If any shame is left, Modi should resign on moral grounds. He is responsible for spreading of corona and death of thousands of people. Corona started last year and today we are short of oxygen, beds and ventilators. Corona vaccines are not there even for 60 plus people and from May 01, 2021, all above 18 are included in the program. Those 60 plus people who took Covaxin, are supposed to get 2nd dose in 28 days, but in our area hospitals, vaccine is not there from one week.

    Which Kumba Mela, elction rally or Modi campaign happened in Bengaluru? Its all the people like you who took it so lightly & don't blame anyone for this. Ambani, Adani, Tata all donated for this epidemic and what about your richest lady donated from her looted property money? why cant you blame her for that?
