Bommai inaugurates Karnataka Law University’s legal study seat

Bengaluru, Apr 30: Home and law and parliamentary affairs minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday inaugurated the Vijnaneshwara Law Study Seat being established by the Karnataka Law University in Hubballi for carrying out high-level research in legal studies.

The minister participated in the inaugural function held at Navanagarin Hubballi through video conferencing from Chitradurga.

The minister in his speech underscored the importance of research, study and meditation and said a synergy involving all aspects will provide the necessary strength and knowledge for the welfare of society.

Research and study are equally important in legal knowledge and expertise, he said.

Bommai said he was particularly happy to note that Justice Shivaraj Patil will be heading the legal study seat of the University as it will enhance the prestige and stature of the Study Seat.

Karnataka Law University, vice-chancellor, prof P Ishwar Bhat presided over the function.
