Bengaluru: MS Ramaiah Hospital offers 850 beds for treatment of Covid patients

Bengaluru, May 1: The M S Ramaiah Hospital has offered to provide totally 850 beds for treatment of Covid patients to the State Government.

In addition to the 450 beds being set apart for the treatment of Covid patients, the Hospital management has promised provide an additional 400 beds making the total beds provided for the State Government to 850.

The management of the Hospital made the offer during a discussion with Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa in Bengaluru on Saturday.

M S Ramaiah Hospital Governing Board Chairman M R Jayaram and Chief Executive Officer M R Srinivasa Murthy made the offer during a meeting with Yediyurappa.

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta and Bengaluru Central BJP MP P C Mohan were present during the meeting.

The Chief Minister also held discussions with the management of the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Colleges (KIMS) on reserving beds to the State Government for the treatment of Covid patients.
