Belagavi: Woman, grandson die due to wall collapse

Belagavi, May 17: Due to heavy rain, the wall of a house in Itagi village in the district crashed to the ground. As a result, a woman and her grandson lost their lives. Two were injured.

Doddavva Rudrappa Pattenda (60), and her grandson, Abhishek Suresh Patteda (3), died in the incident instantly. Father of the boy, identified as Suresh Rudrappa Patteda (37), and his wife, Manjula Suresh Patteda (30), suffered injuries.

Flights suspended

Flights from Belagavi airport took off on Sunday to Indore, Jodhpur and Mumbai. Flights on other routes were suspended because of inclement weather.
