Bantwal: Mammoth blood donation camp held

Bantwal, May 17: Former minister Ramanath Rai flagged off the mammoth blood donation camp which was held under the joint aegis of Bantwal Block Congress, Panemangaluru Block Congress, Yuva Congress and women, workers of Bantwal legislative constituency with the active participation of Indian Red Cross Society, Mangaluru.

Speaking on the occasion, Rai said, “Congress party is committed to the service of people during the lock down time. The need of blood will be more in coming days.”

A total of 225 units of blood was collected in this camp.

Chief of Red Cross Society Dr Praveen, zilla panchayat members Chandraprakash Shetty, Padmashekhar Jain, M S Mohammed, taluk panchyat vice president Abbas Ali, president of taluk panchayat standing committee Mallika V Shetty, president of Bantwal town municipality Mohammed Sharif, presidents of Bantwal and Panemangalur Block Congress Baby Kunder and Sudeep Kumar Shetty, president of Panemangalore Block women Congress Jayanthi V Poojary, Yuva Congress president Ibrahim Nawaz Badakabailu and president of Bantwal NSUI Vinaya Kumar Sindhya Bantwal were present.
