Puttur: Man arrested for allegedly impregnating mentally unsound woman

Puttur, May 17: The Uppinangady police have arrested a person who allegedly raped a married lady with unsound mind, and impregnated her.

The arrested accused happens to be Suresh Prabhu (40), resident of Darbe in Nekkilady village.

The aggrieved lady is married and her husband is in Gujarat for the last ten months. As the lady became pregnant during this period, the matter was probed and the accused's evil deed came to light.

The mother of the lady had filed a complaint in this connection with the Uppinangady police on May 15.
