Mangalore: Karmapath Trust Brings Computer Education to Noojibail Village

Mangalore, Aug 16: The students of Noojibail Government Aided School, a non-descript village about 45 kms from the City had more than one reason to celebrate Independence Day. The students along with being reminded of freedom struggles of the past were shown the path to India’s future, one of technological prowess and complete literacy.

On the day of Sunday August 15, the members of Karmapath Trust gifted to the school two new computers and offered to fund the computer science teacher’s salary as well.

M V Nayak, deputy general manager, MRPL started the day’s proceedings with the unfurling of the tricolour followed by National Anthem sung with gusto by the gathering comprising 322 children. Nayak further inaugurated the Computer Laboratory and passed on his best wishes to the newly-appointed computer science teacher Suryanarayana.

Karmapath Trust will equip the lab with three more computers by the end of the month ensuring sufficient exposure to all 322 kids of the school.

A visibly elated Noojibail school headmistress said that she was very happy that these youngsters from Karmapath Trust visited the school and contributed to the school’s development when most people of the age are preoccupied with materialistic interests. The manner in which they have conducted themselves speaks volume of their upbringing and maturity. It is definitely one of the happiest days in my teaching career spanning over theree decades,” she added.

Karmapath Trust has also assured to initiate computer education along similar lines in the nearby Nagari Government Aided School within the next month.
