Udupi: DC G Jagadeesha visits cyclone-affected Padubidri Blue Flag beach

Udupi, May 19: Udupi district deputy commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha on Wednesday May 19 visited and inspected internationally recognised Padubidri Blue Flag beach that was affected during the recent Tauktae cyclone.

He said that the beach will be reconstructed within a week for the attraction of tourists. Blue Flag staff present on the occasion assured the DC that the beach will be cleaned and brought back to the earlier shape. They said that they are grateful for having provided jobs to local youth and developed the sea shore. The DC directed the assistant director of the department of tourism Somashekar Banavasi who was present on the occasion to take measures for all the necessary facilities at the beach.

Blue Flag beach manager Vijaya Shetty, tourism department staff Ramesh Devadiga, village assistant Jayaram, local police station staff and others were present.
