Bengaluru, May 21: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa on Friday inaugurated the 100-bed Covid Care Centre established by Volvo Group India at their Endocrinology Centre and later received 300 oxygen concentrators and medicines worth Rs 3 crore and also a cheque of Rs 1 crore for the chief minister’s relief fund from the TVS Motors Company in the city.
At the function to inaugurate the Volvo Group’s Covid Care Centre, Volvo Group India chairman and managing director Kamal Bali, housing minister V Somanna, BJP MP P C Mohan and MLA S Raghu were present.
At the TVS Motor Company’s function, the company’s Corporate Relations vice president Karunakar Reddy, associate vice president Sethuraman were present.
The chief minister appreciated the contribution of the Volvo Group and TVS Motors Company in joining hands with the government’s efforts in controlling the Covid pandemic.
Earlier in the morning, the chief minister administered the pledge to mark the observation of anti-terrorism day at his home office, Krishna.
Housing minister V Somanna, MP P C Mohan and other senior officials were present.
