Udupi: Case filed for violating Covid norms in mehendi function

Udupi, May 22: Deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha informed that Kundapur rural police have filed an FIR against seven persons for violating Covid-19 norms during a mehendi function. The seven persons were not wearing masks. The incident took place at Asodi, Kukrunje village, Kundapur taluk.

The function took place on Friday May 21. When the flying squad and family welfare team came to the spot, they found few people dancing without masks.

On the basis of flying squad officer Raghavendra Varnikar’s complaint, Kundapur rural police have filed an FIR.
