Udupi: Renowned Karate expert, Congress leader Nithyananda Kemmannu succumbs to Covid

Udupi, May 24: Youth leader of Billava community, vice president of Tonse panchayat, renowned Karate expert and Congress leader Nithyananda Kemmannu died on Monday, May due to Covid. He was 43.

Nithyananda had served as the panchayat president of Tonse earlier and played an important role in development of the village. Though he was a Congress leader, he used to take members of all political parties into confidence and work towards the development of Tonse village.

Nithyananda strived hard to uplift the Congress party in Kemmannu, Hoode and surrounding areas.

Late Nithyananda was an expert in the sport of Karate. He was the office bearer of state Karate association also. He received district Rajyotsava award for his exemplary service in the field of sports.
