Kadaba: Agricultural labourer electrocuted when plucking coconuts

Kadaba, May 25: P M Lijo (39), son of Tangachchan from Kutruppady Badabettu in the taluk lost his life due to electrocution on Monday May 24.

He was plucking the coconuts with the help of a long aluminium stick with a hook at the end from a coconut tree near his home when the stick came in contact with the power line passing above and he was killed instantly. The deceased has left behind wife and two sons.

Minister S Angara and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, paid their last respects to the deceased and consoled the grieving family members. Zilla panchayat member Harish Kanjipili, former member Krishna Shetty and Kadaba taluk panchayat former member C P Silmon, were present.
