Wester Range IG Gopal Hosur appointed Additional CP

Bangalore, Aug 19 (DHNS): Senior IPS officer Gopal Hosur has been appointed as the new Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Bangalore in a major reshuffle of IPS officers on Wednesday.

  He will be replaced by 1987 batch IPS Officer Alok Mohan as Inspector General of Police, Western Range, Mangalore.

Following are the new postings of other officers: Ashit Mohan Prasad: IGP, Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP), Bangalore; P K Garg: IGP, KPTCL and all Escoms (Vigilance and Enforcement), Bangalore; Amar Kumar Pandey: IGP and Director, Karnataka Police Academy, Mysore; K V Sharat Chandra: SP, Dakshina Kannada district; P H Rane: Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Division, Bangalore; G Ramesh: SP, Davangere district; Sonia Narang: Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic West Division, Bangalore; A Subramanyeshwara Rao: SP, Hassan district; D Prakash: Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Bangalore; K P Puttaswamy:

Assistant Inspector General of Police (Crimes), Bangalore; Sandeep Patil:  SP, Belgaum and R Dileep: SP, Dharwad.

    Some people in this forums only purpose of life is to congratualte anybody come to Mangalore as IGP,PC,SP,DC....PSI....constable etc.

    This attitudes amuses me... any way good bye to old IGP and welcome to new one, whatever their name is ........

    He Came..He Saw..He Conquered.I think these words match with Mr.Gopal Hosur. Ever since he took charge in Mangalore ,he conquered Mafias,criminals.He is a really a nightmare for them.He was specially assigned duty in Mangalore by Govt. and he did justice to it. Long back he had face to face fight with sandalwood smuggler Veerappan in the forest.He survived miraculously that time.But in Mangalore ,he faced hundreds of Veerappans.Anyway..luck favours the brave.It didn't go wrong in Mr.Hosur case also. CONGRATULATIONS Sir.

    Congratulation Mr Hosur Sir, you are one of the sincere, able police officer, God bless you. I wants to mention here that even our Home minister Dr V.S Acharya is also a clean handed person. In his control police department is hesitating to ask bribe, Mr Acharya is not supporting any unlawful activity in police department,

    A non controversial police officer Mr Gopal Hosur deserved the covted post of Additional Police Commissioner L & O.Bangalore.We are loosing one of the best officer.But however show must go on......Congrats Mr Hosur and best of luck.

    Mr Hosur belongs to one of the rarest breed of officers in the police force, who place the call of duty above all else. The law and order which was abysmally low when he took over improved subsantially during is tenure. it is always not right to say politician come come in the way of discharge of duty. Mr Hosur dealt with lawbreakers with stern hand. He is a model for other police officers to emulate. Thanks for your sevice Mr Hosur may you see better days in your police career!!!

    I can only say 'WHAT IS BANGALORE'S GAIN IS MANGALROES'S LOSS' Gopal Hasur has rendered excellent service to the Port City of Mangalore and to the four districts of D.K.,Chickmangalur, Udupi, and U.K. He is going away from Mangalore will lave a void in Mangalore and in the hearts of all people he has come in contact with.

    I have no doubt that he will continue to keep up his fine record and do well in future.

    He proceeds to Bangalore with the blessings of all the people from the four districts.
