Sullia: Man dies as tempo hits him while crossing road

Sullia, May 28: A man lost his life while crossing the road as a tempo hit him. This incident occurred near Kallugundi Society of Sampaje village of the taluk on May 27.

The deceased is identified as Chandrashekhar (50), son of Ramachari. According to the details available deceased Chandrashekhar, uncle of complainant Ravikumar K V, was crossing the road at Kallugundi Society while the driver of tempo bearing registration number KA 11 B 9881 hit Chandrashekhar due to negligent and unsafe driving. Though Chandrashekhar, who received grievous injuries to his head and right hand, was shifted to Sullia government hospital he breathed his last on the way.

A case in this regard is registered at Sampaje police station.
