Bantwal: BJP to use party fund to take care of Covid victims’ children

Bantwal, May 29: Taluk BJP president Devappa Poojary said on Saturday May 29 that orphaned kids due to Covid-19 would be taken care under BJP’s party fund. Orphaned kids’ education and other responsibilities would be taken care of.

He said, “On the occasion of seven years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rule, Rs 10 lac has been allocated for Covid-19 orphan fund, and also Rs 25 lac has been collected by various members.

“In the coming days, the fund will be used for poor families’ benefit also.

“On May 30, 59 booths will begin service in gram panchayats. As many as 22 programmes will be conducted at all 59 booths. All party members have been asked to participate actively,” he said.

He appealed everyone to support the state government rather than blame it for the pandemic. “The state government is doing everything to control covid-19,” he said.

BJP leaders Dombayya Arala, Raveesh Shetty, Karkala Monappa Devasya, Sudarshan Baja and Pradeep Ajjebettu were present.
