Udupi: Girija Healthcare & Surgicals provide free medicines for treatment of Covid patients

Udupi, May 30: The district's leading healthcare equipment company Girija Healthcare & Surgicals handed over free medicines to the Udupi district administration for the treatment of Covid positive patients of the district.

Ravindra Shetty and Harish Kumar, partners of Girija Healthcare & Surgicals, handed over the medicine kits to Udupi deputy commissioner G Jagdeesh.

The medicine kit included Vitamin C, Paracetamol 500 mg, Zinc, Doxycycline 100mg, Ivermectin and other pills needed for the treatment of about 1,500 coronavirus patients were handed over to the district administration.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said, "Girija Healthcare & Surgicals, has helped the district in the first wave of Covid. It had arranged ICU beds when it was needed on priority. Today they have donated medicines for the treatment of Covid patients. The administration is grateful for their generosity."

Ravindra Shetty, the partner of the firm said, "Today we have handed over the medicines for the treatment of Covid patients. In these difficult times like lockdown and pandemic, our firm is operating under the essential service category. These activities are part of our social responsibility and we will continue to provide service in future as well."
