Puttur: Men on bike snatch away pedestrian's gold chain

Puttur, May 31: A woman working as a domestic servant for a woman police officer was returning home after work on Sunday May 30, when three men seated in a Pulsar motorbike snatched away the golden Karimani chain she was wearing. This incident happened at Tenkila here.

The person who lost her chain happens to be Vijaya, a resident of Paeriyothodi. The value of the chain lost has been estimated at Rs 60,000.

Vijaya was walking home after working at the residence of a police official at Parladka in the afternoon of Sunday through the bypass road when the incident happened. The accused wore wearing helmets and therefore could not be identified. It is said that after yanking the chain, they moved towards Parladka. A case relating to the chain snatching was registered at the women's police station here.
