Mangaluru: 210 inmates of ashram at Neriya village turn corona-positive

Mangaluru, May 31: Cornavirus pandemic has exploded in an orphanage of the district of Dakshina Kannada. As many as 210 inmates of the Ashram have tested positive for the dreaded virus in a single day.

There are 270 elderly people and mentally challenged at Seon Ashram at Gandibagilu of Neriya gram panchayat in Beltangady taluk. A few days ago some of them had symptoms of coronavirus. All were tested on Sunday for Covid. Surprisingly, 210 out of the 270 tested positive.

MLA Harish Poonja, who came to know about the matter, immediately got all the infected people shifted to Rajatadri lodge of Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala. According to the instructions of Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala D Veerendra Heggade, Rajatadri logde is converted into Covid care home.
